Oklahoma is getting nailed big time with tornadoes. The play by play is on MSNBC right now.

Doc

I just got home from Joplin. They expect that storm to roll through there tonight and I had nowhere to bunker down and ride it out.

They're reporting a couple dead in OKC. I hope the worst is over and it fizzles out tonight.

Moving east today. Looks like south of us right now, but time will tell. In the meantime, the wife will be hunkered down in the closet. Bless her heart.. Won't even watch the Wizzard of Oz. :)

Yep, sorry for lack of response. We're ok, it's been a scary few days to say the least. I bet some would think the world was going to end. I appreciate the concern!

Had hail the size of tennis balls on Sunday night, my 6 week old Jeep and wifes van got it, haven't had a chance to inspect the roof yet. Yesterday was a weathermans time of the year, for sure. Storms popped and rode right up I44, but tornadoes were south of us, just tons and tons of rain. My mom, who lives in El Reno, missed that tornado by a mile. It went north of her and did some damage there and in Piedmont and other places. I've never been forced to leave work, in order to make it home before a storm was more then 2hrs away. The city of Tulsa canceled all school sponsored activities and other cities/towns were doing the same as well. This was suppose to be the "perfect storm" and I haven't seen mention of how many tornadoes we had, but it was a lot.

We're lucky and have those families in Joplin, on our minds.

Glad to hear you are well. It's been a strange week.

Areas around the KC Metro has lots of sightings of funnel clouds and brief tornado touchdowns today. I got to spend 2 hours in the underground parking garage at work today. I believe Sedalia had damage and injuries, but I haven't heard any definite totals yet.

A massive storm pushed through DFW last night as well and dumped a ton of golf ball to baseball size hail. It hit DFW airport and Love Field and damaged a lot of planes stranding something like 10,000 passengers. There were also some small tornadoes but I have not heard of any major damage. Looks like Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma got the worst of it though.

Glad your alright, Brandon.

Tornados are mighty particular sometimes. My sister had a big one pass right by her house and cut a 50 yard swath through the woods leveling her neighbor's house and hers was fine. She and her husband crawled under the dining room table!
