Heartfelt Bead Tubes

i am thinking of purchasing a small tube for my 15 count humi. My question is do you just put the tube in the humi or do you empty the contents in an open container? Thanks for any help.

I have the small tube for my travel humi (really a wooden Macanudo DM box I picked up), and all i do is have the tube in it. Every once in a while I open one cap to re-add distilled water. That is it.

After a period of time (time differs depending on the need for moisture in your humi) the beads will need recharging. The only thiong needed is to put a little distilled water on the beads that they will absorb and you are ready to go again.

One of those small spray bottles they sell in the travel toiletries section of Target/Wally world, filled with distilled water, is great for "recharging" beads. Just a couple spritz's and your back in business. I think the beads, FOG's correct me if Im wrong, should be kept around 50/50 milky/clear.

Clear = hydrated
milky = dehydrated

That way you have some capacity to soak up extra moisture if you get some soggy sticks. If you over hydrate them either leave them out for a while or hit them with a hair dryer. Hair dryer being an emergency quick fix as I think dehydrating them fast over stresses the beads.

You are right, I recommend that you go no further than 65-70% of the beads clear.

What I do not like about the tubes is the bead dust.

For travel I use a air tight hard case like otter box.
