Getting those hubs off is a PITA, at least up here in the rust belt. I've done that four times now, I think.Replaced a wheel bearing and hub assembly, lower ball joint and then driver/passenger brake pads on my 2011 Subaru Outback. Now that was frustrating, but happy it's done.

Last weekend I did wheel speed sensors and coolant on the wife's minivan, only to discover that some rodent had chewed through the wires on the vehicle side of one of the sensor connectors. Barely enough left for me to splice it back together, but I could and it's working so far, so I'm with you: happy it's done!
Normally, that is the hard part. Except the last time I did the brakes on my wife's van, the caliper slide pin was so rusted that the bolt head snapped off leaving the slide stuck inside the caliper bracket! Since I couldn't find any place to order just the bracket at that time (or maybe I could but didn't/couldn't wait for it), I bought the caliper and bracket both and now have an extra brake caliper just lying in the garage.Yep, the worst part was getting the hub off/out of the knuckle. I wasn't reusing the old hub, so I was able to strategically hammer it off. The other hard part, was getting the old ball joint out of the lower control arm. PITA all the way around. Hardest part of the brake jobs, is always getting the caliper pistons back so you can put the caliper back on.
