I think a lot of the time, they don't want to do the work and price it WAY high. If the customer wants to pay, then they'll do it. Otherwise, it's a FU price, to just get the customer their quote and on to the next one.

Yep! They said the labor would be $750. If we had replaced the rotors we would have had 1.5 - 2.0 hours involved ..... total. And we didn't know what we were doing!

Saw this thing on the way home from work today. Best photo I could get while inching through traffic, but if it is the same car that was at the Honolulu International Car Show a few years ago, it is legit. I'm pretty staunch on "leave your phone down when driving, motherfuckers!", but occasionally make the rare exception.
