Now that is a good idea!!! But even if that were to happen, I think it would still be cheaper to ship cigars than salmon back home (and maybe some halibut). :love:

I'd like to know more about how the poker contest works in conjunction with the cigar pass. I saw the poker room info on the main page, but curious how it works in the 'pass' context'.

Well, I remember there was another pass that had a poker contest, but I don't remember exactly how they did it. This will be Texas Hold'em. If you want to participate in the poker contest, put an ISOM into the contest bag and list it with your Ps & Ts. Then take an envelope; there are 22. Inside each envelope are your hole cards. In Texas Hold'em, you don't show your hole cards, so don't post what two cards you have. However, post which envelope you have taken. A few ppl into the pass we will post the flop, towards the very end of the pass we will post the turn, when the pass hits home we will post the river. Trash talking is encouraged. Side betting is encouraged. :thumbs:

IdahoGN's 4 year old daughter, Jillian, was kind enough to draw all the hole card from a face down jumble of cards. She also drew the burn, flop, burn, turn, burn, and river. Once the pass gets back home, Shawn and I will have Jillian draw our envelope's out of a hat (she really loved helping). Shawn and I know which two cards, if choosen, are the winners, so it wouldn't be fair for us to engage in any side betting.

Um ... no, not really. P's and T's need to be of equal value. Equal value is w/in $.25 or so up to $5; $.50 or so up to $10; and the scale slides a little after that. Age of a cigar adds to its rarity, which adds to it's value. Even w/o the age factor, your P's and T's don't add up. One rule of thumb I use is +.03% - +.05% per year of age to add to the value of the what the cigar is going for today. But the best way is to try to find where vintage cigars are being sold and see what they market is asking for them (EL's obviously don't typically work w/ that rule). I usually recommend people to check three sources and compare the P/T pricing from the same source to see how in line they are. But you are way off on the Monte and a little off on the Cuaba.

Please keep the cigars in their previously numbered bags and number new puts with the next number. So in this case it would be #43 and #44.

For future reference, anyone can post or PM proposed P's and T's before the pass shows up to get an idea of what may or may not work to help the pass keep rolling along smoothly.

This is what I'm going to do. I feel like I'm not into Habanos enough to exact some righteous Ps and Ts...so what I've decided to do is..
not do any P's and T's and just fucking fill up the contest bag with some righteous smokes. All ISOMs of course.

I'm all for helping you figure this out. There are smokes in there that you can trade for if you would like. The pass doesn't all contain just high end sticks.
