Good morning everyone and TGIF. Just put a fresh pot of joe and I'll be packin' my bags headin' out to Philly for the big game. We had a great time last night at the bonfire / prep ralley and the send off was outstanding. We'll be in Center City most of the day today doing some cigar shopping at Holts then off to the Hard Rock Cafe and then this evening a big dinner with the Medal of Honor receipients that will be doing the coin toss at the start of the game. Oh, did I mention that we'll be up in the sky box / suite with them all during the game as well, should be a great time. After the game, we're all headin' over to Cookies Tavern (a big Marine Corp bar) to enjoy some more cold ones and a few more ceegars. Anyway, this will be my last posting untill I return from Philly which will probably be Sunday evening. Enjoy the weekend all and GO ARMY......... :) :thumbs: :cool:

After a very nice conversation with Stogieman over the phone, the wager has been finalized. A fiver of sticks valued at an MSRP of $50 will be risked on the outcome of the game. I of course am rising nothing. ;)

Good morning all and thank God the weekend is finally over. We had an incredable time in Philly and the game was super as well. Congrats to the Navy and Doc, I'll be sending your winnings off in the morning. It started off Friday afternoon at Holts and then off to the Vesper Club (Private Cigar Club) where we enjoyed a couple of Anejo 48s each. That evening we had a dinner with honoring the man of the year and in attendance were a number of Medal of Honor receipts, Police Commisioner, ect. Then Saturday morning we all met at Cookies Tavern which is a great Marine Corp bar where we climbed into a strech limo with police escort right to the stadium. I had the honor to escort the Medal of Honor recipients to the 50 yard line on the field and stood next to Donald Rumsfeld and the General of the Army. After the coin toss, we were escorted around for the 1st half of the game by a number of Phillies Finest from Club Box to Club Box shaking hands and taking photos. The weather was great and the evening finished off with a private party with was unreal. I'm glad that I'm back to work today so I get get some rest and relaxation. Anyway, hope everyone has a super week and enjoys as well....... :) :thumbs: :cool:

Well DAMN! You could have added this right on my "Rubbing Shoulders With the Big Boys" thread. Glad that you have a great time. I've never been to a game (any game) where I was treated like that. Sounds like a super time.
 
Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Just as soon as I get a chance, I'll post a few pictures from this past weekend down in Philly. It was so nice last night just puttin' the feet up on the sofa and relaxing for a change. I know that will change though as we get closer to the holidays and all. Good morning everyone and I hope you have a happy hump day. The coffee is on and bagels are on this mornings' breakfast menu. We're less than 3 weeks from Christmas and I hope you have a good start on gettin' your shopping done. I got the better half almost done and now I have to concentrate on the friends and relatives on my list. With the wife being 1 of 14, we normally don't get a gift for every relative or we'd go bonkers. Oh well, hope you all have a good one and enjoy a favorite or two........ :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Morning all and it's Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day. Take a moment and thank the ones that lost thier lives serving the US in the Harbor. Alright, I've got my pictures down loaded from this weekend and I'll be posting them later on but I have one here from ESPN just after the "Coin Toss". It's this years 1st Captain of the Corps of Cadets, Donald Rumsfeld, General Hagenbeck (Superintendent of the United States Military Academy - West Point), Jon R. Cavaiani (Army / Medal of Honor Recepient), in the background is Tony Boyle (Philly Police Inspector) and lastly yours truly.

The one above was taken by an ESPN photographer. There were camera guys there from ABC, ESPN, Philly News and a few other news paper guys. I talked with one of the West Point photographers on Tuesday and he took a good 1000 pictures from Friday thru Sunday and got a few good ones of yours truly as well. Also, while we were at the "Man of the Year" award dinner, there was a bunch taken as well as when we were up in the Club Suite.

Anyway, good morning all and yes, the coffee is on and has been since around 0415. Plannin' on going over to the West Point Dining Facility (mess hall) for some good Army chow where a few of us will have breakfast. There's nuthin' like a plate of SOS and a 3 egg omelet to start the day. Hope all of you have a great weekend and enjoy. TGIF........ :D :thumbs: :cool:
