Good morning, I got up about an hour ago. God I love getting up at 2pm. Actually I have hardly gotten up before noon all summer so far. :D

Good morning fellas and TGIF. Got a fresh pot of espresso on and I'm sure that I'll be needing it. Got a pretty busy day today to include a full dress rehersal for Monday's arrival of the 1400+ new Cadets to West Point, a doctors visit up in Newburgh and of course a few cold ones at the end with a couple of my favorite ceegars. Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys as well....... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning, fellas! I stopped at the B&M on the way into work, picked up a La Gloria Cubana Serie R #6, drinking some fine coffee now, thinking about the ceegar I will have on my way home tonight and playing 18 with some fellas tomorrow, barring any rain.

Good mornin' all and yes, the coffee is on. It's raining cats & dogs right now but hopefully it will go out to sea soon so we can all enjoy the day with some BBQing, beer drinkin' and of course, ceegar smokin'. :D Hope all of you have agreat day and get to enjoy a few of your favorites...... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning all and hope your Sunday will be a good one. They are calling for showers off and on all day again but that isn't gonna stop us from BBQing again and enjoying a well deserved ceegar under the picnic umbrella. The Yankees got rained out yesterday and they have the make up game today as a double header (day / night). I hope they can get them in or at least one of them for our enjoyment. Also, the NASCAR fellas are out in California today at Infineon Raceway which is one of two road races they have scheduled this year. Hope all of you have a chance today to smoke one of your favorites and enjoy...... :) :thumbs: :cool:

Oh yeah, the coffee is on!!!!!
 
Good Morning everyone. It's been a nice weekend.
Yesterday I went fishing with my son and son in law with a guide out of government cut in Miami. We caught a kingfish, a 10 lb gag grouper, a couple of mangrove snappers, and a mess of bonita. Weather was near perfect. Some sun but mostly cloudy so we didn't burn up. Light breeze. Smoked a Don Carlos robusto and a RP 1990 vintage. We were hoping for dolphin but they were elsewhere. Good bonding.

What a wonderful day, the purple finches are feeding in my bird feeder and the temperature is 70f outside.

I'm going to burn a Connie #9 while mowing the lawn, and later I plan on digging into the "special box" hidden in the deep dark recesses of my humidor and smoke something exotic.

My wife and I are going to go geo-caching this afternoon.

So yea, it's going to be a wonderful day! I hope yours is as well!

My day of rest has begun. Strong Columbian coffee and Oliva Bold Omni are kicking it off. Today will truly be a day of rest as I'm library bound to find a good bio and some sort of fiction, too. Very humid here and it's cool and quiet there.

I hope you all enjoy a fine cigar today, O brothers :p
 
Morning all. Good evening to the BOTL in the big sandbox. I am sitting on the back deck with the wife enjoying a good cup of coffee and a MC #4. Can't think of better way to start the day.

Just talked to my wife, and everything is set for my R&R...Hot Tub is ready and waiting :love: :cool: ....and the fridge is stocked with premium brew.....

All I need to do now show up with my Herf-a-Dor with some of the smokes some of you have sent me.... :p

I leave here tomorrow for Kuwait....then from Kuwait to Dallas on Weds or Thurs depending on when the flights are scheduled. I'll post a separate thread with the details in case any DFW BOTLs want to conduct a mini-Herf while I wait for my connecting flight. I could have anywhere from 1-8 hours in DFW.

Have a GREAT MONDAY!!!

Mornin' all and hope the weekend was great for everyone. Today will be a busy one with the 1400+ new Cadtes arriving here at West Point to start their checking in. Got to leave in a couple cause the first of em' are scheduled to arrive at 05:30. Hope all of you have a super Monday and I'm sure at the end of this day I'll be ready for a couple of cold ones and a premium smoke....... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Doing some Mayorga coffee this morning. Pretty potent stuff, I think the wife put in too much 'cause the spoon stands up in the cup :)
 
Good Morning Everyone. Cup O Jerry in my hands and homemade breakfast burrito on the plate. Great weekend traded in the ole '04 Denali for a new '07

GMC Denali.

I must be nuts but the '04 was turning out to be a nightmare :( 2 visits to the shop in 2 months for engine work. Dealer gave us a good deal on the '04 so I've got a new ride. Gets better gas mileage than the old one.

Heading out on a roadtrip with the family tomorrow so everyone have a great week.

Charlie it's always fun to watch a guy who enjoys his work ;)

Why re-up if the first was such a lemon? My 20 yo Volvo has 285k and hasn't seen a shop in years. Just change the consumable parts and they run forever. Once you go Volvo you never go back! ;) I'll trade you straight up.
 
Good morning everyone and yes, the coffee is brewin'. Well, today is day 2 of issuing the Cadets their equipment. By Thursday morning at this time, they should have everything they need to survive their 4 year stay here except for books, computers and a few minor items. Today should be another easy day as they receive all thier sized items, i.e., footwear, kevlar helmets, protective masks, ect.. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day and enjoys........ :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Sittin' here in "lovely" Kuwait (lovely because it's a short 24-hour visit) this morning (100 degrees before 9am) enjoying a "Bean Tree" Quad-ruple after being up all night dealing with inefficient processes by the Army and Air Force.

"Bean Tree" is the DoD version of Starbucks here in "theater". Pretty good joe, but not as good as I make. :)

Left Baghdad last night and got here around 10pm. Fiddled around til midnight and was assigned a tent to sleep in. Had to be back at 0200 (2am) for a 30 minute briefing we should have gotten at 10pm. Oh well...that's call "red tape".

Went back to the tent until 0500 (5am) for another briefing and then had to be there at 0730 (7:30am) to turn in our body armor. Whew....long night.

Anyway, I'm pumped up with good joe and we get "locked" down at 1400 (2pm) for a 2300 (11pm) flight tonight. I'm the flight commander so that means First Class seating for me......but it's a non-alcoholic flight. :( But I'll have plenty of time for that later.
