Fishing HERF !

Well the 11 to 2-3 works the best for me and for the fish (better chance of catching them that hour). But its majority rule here. What does everyone else think?
 
Ok, It'll be me w/o the guest and I can do the 11-3 trip.
 
I like the late trip better, too. :whistling:

Don't count my vote, though. Even with an 11pm leave time, I might not be back in time for it.
 
I'm down for the late trip. My +1 is still not definite yet, but depending on his work schedule, can make the late trip as well.

Any restrictions on the boat as far as food, drinks, and smoking? Is there a catch limit?
 
Don't think midnight will work for me as I have to run a 10k out east at 8:00 am. Getting home by 1:00 am wouldn't be a big deal as I have drank and smoked the night before a run like this (and that is a feat), but with only 2- 2 1/2 hours sleep plus the heat it is tough. However majority must rule so if it ends up midnight you all have fun and I'm jealous.
 
Ok guys here is the plan.

Get together at 8 pm at Captree Cove Bar / Restaurant next to Laura Lee ( optional )

After getting some food I think we will have a cigar at the pier before sailing

Fishing starts at 11 PM so for those who will skip the restaurant plan to be there around 10:30 so we can get a good spot on the boat.

Bad news. Now the forecast is calling for some thunderstorms for tomorrow saying some may be severe.

I guess this might have to be a game time decision. Let's say we make the call around 3 or 4 pm tomorrow.
 
That's cutting it close but Ok. I wouldn't want to be caught out in bad weather, it sux for fishing.
 
Well the day is perfect for something.. I would like to make a suggestion that we hit up dinner and a few smokes or a cigar bar or something else as a plan B.. Anyone else in..

Come on Dan, work your magic and make it happen :)

So this is what Dan and I have come up with for plan B...

Dinner @ 6:30pm at Waterzooi in Garden City..

From there we will decide which B&M to hit up for a few smokes in the lounge.

Our choices are Maxi's or J. Barbera and we will see what the majority of the people want to do once at dinner.


First off, here is the menu and address LINKY

Secondly, we need to make a decision either late tonight or tomorrow morning to make reservations so that means we need to know exactly how many people are coming.

I know this is cutting it close, but lets make one of these happen.

Good point.....can we find a restaurant that's a little more relaxed? Not to mention, Waterzooi will be a "Zooi" on saturday night. :laugh:
 
Well we have a few options:

Legal Seafood is awesome LINKY

The Cheesecake Factory is great (in Garden City)


Is this the type of atmosphere were looking for?

Im down for whatever, as long as we all get to hang out, smoke and enjoy some food.
 
Sounds good to me. As long as we don't have to dress up.

Ok I second Brians plan.

This place is very casual as far as clothes go if anything we just get reservations so we don't have to wait half an hour to get seated. ( this one Brian I just reccomend get a table for 7 and if anythiong changes we will deal with it right there on the spot )

I also doubt very much that even though we will be wearing shorts and t-shirts we will stink BEFORE THE ACTUAL FISHING.

So here is the deal Meet up at this Belgian place at 6:30 and have some good food and some beers. Afterwards meet up either at Maxies or J Barbera say around 7:30-8pm. If the weather will be accamodative to fishing we will head out there around 9:30 - 10 PM if the weather will suck we just chill at the lounge till closing time
