FFOX Opus 22 2008 Group Buy Round III

As much as I would like to give everyone another shot at getting their "Holy Grail" Fuente, I don't think I will be running a round 4 - at least within the next couple of weeks. Logistically speaking, it's a ton of work to do this. As a word of caution to any one that intends to rekindle the torch and carry on - know what you're getting yourself in to. Don't underestimate the cost of bubble wrap, either - LOL. It's not easy:

Organizing who got in first and being fair to everyone, amassing everyones address, making sure everyone pays, getting all that money in the bank to clear, folding 15+ boxes, hand inspecting each cigar prior to shipment, individually wrapping each coffin in bubble wrap, filling up the excess space in the box with peanuts, printing off 15+ labels, making SURE you label the correct boxes, taping up all the boxes, and then mailing them. Not to mention explaining to your bank why some random place keeps systematically taking out $1000 from your bank account. :laugh:

To be honest, I'm spent for know. Put a fork in me. As it stands right now, I've got a behind-the-scenes ISOM GB going on, and I'm currently taking care of my pass and pass game, which is a chore in itself. Anyway, I got the Princessa D in round 1, but instantly gifted it to insight. Fortunately, I got ridiculously lucky in round 2 and got my "Holy Grail" smoke out of it, the El Scorpion Maduro. I did round 3 solely for everyone on here - as I really want nothing more out of it.... save for maybe the box, which is insanely beautiful. I'd really love to have it as my "Fuente Singles Only" humi... but it'd be somewhat superfluous and is just another 'want not need' at this time. Nonetheless, three rounds is plenty for now, I think. I may run one more sometime next month, if a source outside of Jack Schwartz still has them in stock. Also, please don't PM me for a spot in round 4 at this time. If I do end up running round 4, I'm keeping the damn box and all you vultures can have the smokes :laugh:!!!

Hmmmppphhh...

I must say I am highly upset with my bank. For some odd reason, the online payment funds have not cleared my account. My bank assured me that they would be cleared first thing this AM. I spoke with the bank at length and they assured me the funds would be deposited first thing tomorrow. Thus, your shipments are delayed until tomorrow AM. All of you will have the cigars by this weekend.

It's nothing personal towards anyone at all, it's just $800 bucks we're talking here and I want to make sure I don't get the short end of a stick on something I didn't see coming.

Yup, the El Scorp Maduro was the cigar I was hoping for and I too feel very lucky to have ended up with it. As for keeping the box if you run a Round 4, you've more than earned it in my opinion! Great job running this whole thing!

Just got off the phone with my bank. The money still isn't in my account. Something is definitely amiss and I'm quickly becoming not too fond of PoopooPal.

I'll keep in touch with my bank and keep you fellas updated. This is very frustrating since the first two deposits went in without an issue whatsoever. Anyway, whether it gets deposited in my account or not, all of your cigars are going out tomorrow. You will all have them by the weekend and hopefully I'll have the money by then as well. I don't think I'll be using PP to receive any substantial sum of money ever again.

Damn Jeff that is a bummer. I cannot say I blame you on the poopal thing. I use them very rarely to send but never to receive. Hope it works out soon for you.

Jeff dont worry about it. Take as long as you need. I dont plan on smoking them anytime soon, and I need to buy the vinotemp either way :)

Ok. I've printed off all the labels. I've packaged almost all of the cigars. I get down to one of the last packages I have to make...

Now we officially have a small issue.

The issue, you ask? There are 3 Opus Reserva d' Chateaus in this set and only 1 Perfecxion Xs. Per THIS LINK there should be two of each. I'm going to give Jack Schwartz a call as soon as they open to see if perhaps one of the cigars was moved from set to set or if A. Fuente straight up shipped it this way. I'm guessing this is an error on Fuente's end - which makes this a one of a kind Opus 22 set! :laugh:

I really can't believe I didn't notice this when I was hand checking the cigars. I guess I just opened each coffin, inspected the cigar, and then put them back. I didn't even notice there were 3 RdCs.

I was down to my last three packages. I had cabaiguan juan and GarlicBreath's packages labeled and sealed. I was beginning to package up Carbonless' box and thought to myself, "Wait... where the hell is the Perfecxion X... here's a Chili Pepper for Whopper.... here's a Perfecxion No. 2 for Lockout.... why do I have a Reserva d' Chateau here?!?!? WTF?!?!!? OH GOD I'M AN IDIOT". So, I tore open each box. Wait.... there's a Reserva d' Chateau in each box.... wait... WAIT.....WHAT?

So ya. We have 3 RdC's and 1 Perf X in this Opus 22 set. ???


Late edit: Of all the things that could be a messed up, why the RdC? Why couldn't I just open it and have a 6er of El Scorpion Maduros with the no regular releases present? :laugh: :sign:
