So, tell me how I am making a profit.

It has nothing to do with you making a profit of not....it has everything to do with you using CP to do nothing but sell your cigars. Is it that hard to understand? No one EVER said you were profitting from us so don't try to turn it around. Yes, you are participating.....now. But that's only to reverse the way people feel about you selling here on CP. If you are no longer selling on CP, that's great! Does this mean that you will confine your sales to other boards and stop posting them here?

I am not sure if he is talking about someone else. I did PM him and tell him he is in a no win situation and it would be best to say no more. As much as I respect some of the guys in this thread. He does not have to speak about it. The sales have been pulled and he said the there will be no futher sales in the near future it should really end there. The only person that he may need to explain if asked is Rod. I never defended him in the sale thread and sent him a PM instead. That is all I have to say about it. Like I said he could be talking about someone else but I did send him a PM that pretty much say what he said.

This board is self moderated. That is how Rod set it up and it it is and has been working well, I have traded with you before and at one time had some respect for you but you continually put yourself in a position that goes against the history of this board. I for one appreciate the way it works and it is the reason it is/has been the only true board I participate in...Everyone here is a big boy and really doesn't need a Knight in shining armor to come rescue them. When they are wrong, they will be called out, if you choose to jump into the middle of every single thread, you will likely get hit by shrapnel.

I agree it is a self moderated community and most of the times it is very good. I know about the history of CP and it is a very good history. My opinion differs with your opinion for one reason here. He has been called out. He has answered the question what more do you want from him? I also think the first thread made the community aware of what was happening and people can decide if they want to deal with him or not. A second thread made by someone with less than 2 yearson CP after the first thread is not needed. We also do not need multiple post by Jayro who also has less than 2 years and is in every thread like this and most of his posts are to pile on or be sarcastic. I guess that is ok that he can spew his opinions in every thread and you don't mind that. But me because I speak out against what I see goes over board it is not ok. Take a look at the last thread and see how many times Jayro posted and that some of the are nothing more than sarcasum.

Yes, this is very true. The catch is if he is being honest or not. I can apologize for something I did wrong just to please the masses. And you know as well as I do Phil that this hasn't been a dog pile like we have seen on others. Only difference is that elderboy02 isn't doing a melt down. Which is a positive action in his favor. Now if I started selling my stash, there probably be a riot over it since it isn't what many would classify as dog rockets and I could easily surpass a good 100 different sell threads if I wanted to do this. Which we all know wouldn't happen unless I fell on hard times.

What amazes me is that elderboy02 wasn't called out on this months ago. When I saw his one sell of 31 cigars, my first thought was he was taking advantage of CP and its members. This was back in Jan 2010. Simply because they are sub-par cigars in my eyes. If it would have been say a bunch of Opus X, how would CP and its membership would have acted if this was all his sales?

Anyways...I digress and I haven't participated in a dog pile. Not my nature. I do wonder if he was selling high end Padron's, Opus X, Anejo's and other HTF cigars would he get the same reaction we see right now? Probably would but this isn't the case so we won't ever know till it happens. Something to think about.

Elderboy, I used a past tense reference in regards to your sales in the form of the word, "were", so obviously I acknowledge your pulling of the sales. It isn't your apology, or pulling of the sales I was pointing out, it was your not understanding what it was we were upset about. It would seem that Phil is right, and at this point the subject has been beaten into the ground. The community knows what happened, as do you, and now we can see how you act in the future. Obviously there are people here who have done less than desireable things here and come back from it, hopefully you make that choice. I'll drop it now, seeing as the point has been made. I'll leave it be with one last thing; this communty looks out for itself, you should come to appreciate it.

I was done with it when he finally said he wouldn't be doing anymore sales. Those were the magical words I was waiting on. Everything else he had been stating (to that point) was trying to figure out when would be a good time to resume, and how many sales were an acceptable number. That, to me, was just a slap in the face. I'm good with him at this point...as long as he keeps his word.
