Connies maduros (# 30. 9 and 84 all maduros), padron xxxx and mayorgas gets my vote.
snip...Also, if you smoke 'em young, the Sancho Panza Double Maduro are mighty tasty.

There is that suggestion based on the one box of Quixotes I've gone through. Fresh, they were very tasty. Satisfying even. However, after about 8 months, they started to go flat. Milder, less punchy. I'd say some of the sweetness had faded.snip...Also, if you smoke 'em young, the Sancho Panza Double Maduro are mighty tasty.

Hey Wilkey, I'm suprised at this comment. I love these smokes, especially the La mancha. Unfortunately, when I get a box they never last long enough to have any age. You saying they don't age well??

I think this is a general concern I have with "bargain" cigars. I cannot even theorize what might be going on but they don't seem to have the legs to age. I'm starting to see a diminshment of the cacao notes in my box of Mayorgas maddies. They are still decent, just not quite as beany or sweet. The only bargain cigars I've smoked recently which really seem to hold up are the Gran Habanos #5 Corojo and the Black Pearl Rojo. Tons of flavor and no signs of weakening but then neither of these are particularly sweet. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I honestly think hands down profile/strength vs price its the Punch Gran Puro, you can get them retail at ~$3 a stick or pretty regularly off cbid at $2 a stick.
Seeing your screen named prompted me to remember, Muniemaker. Without a doubt the most underrated cigar around here.Carlos Toraño Exodus 1959
I would classify these as "underrated" because I don't see too many people raving about them other than me. They're a good deal price wise, about $4.00 a stick.

I have to agree here, I love this sticks. I just bought a box just to let them sit for a while.

Do any of you guys know a good sampler pack that has good cheap cigars? A collection of good ones that can be had for 2-3$. I’m just starting so I’m playing around in the low dollar stuff. My strategy right now is to find a good cheap one I like and buy 25 of them.

your best bet would be the newbie sampler trade in the buy/sell/trade section of this site. you will get great bang for your buck, and will get to try a nice variety of cigars.
i am confused if this is about value cigars or underrated cigars....so I will go with underrated...and I will say the AB Trilogy Ovation maduro....a great sweet maduro, that if picked up on C-bid at the right time can be less than $2 a stick.
This isn't a thread about value, it may be worth mentioning, but that wasn't the thought behind the post. What cigars do you think deserve more attention, more hype, if you will. That's where we're at here.
