I don't think these qualify on price and/or rarity in my opinion.

Based on my own experience with the Pass I have to agree but I think it is mainly the rarity factor.

I don't think any of them qualify on rarity. All 4 takes are for the most part once a year releases while his puts are regular release sticks and common ones at that.

IMHO, it may be that they're not considered a regular release but they all seem fairly accessible to me.

While I may not be able to walk into my local B&M and expect to find Anejo or Opus in stock, they do come around somewhat regularly and certainly online (even if you take away the "CP" factor), they are fairly available.

WOAMs in particular seem to be a fairly accessible "rare" stick. Anejos and Opus a bit less so.

Just my newbish thoughts,

Bill

True but you can go into pretty much any "smoke shop" and find Montes.

I have to disagree and say Hemingway, Anejo, and Opus are not fairly accessible. They are only released once or twice a year and are gone within a short period of time. I seriously don't think there are any boxes of Opus for sale anywhere at MSRP. I do see Anejo and WOAM every now and then pop up, but I can tell you that I can't go to just any vendor out there, place an order, and have a box by the weekend. If there are any out there, please let me know where and do so by PM. :D Thank you.

I have to admit I don't know a lot about the Oliva, so is it a limited type release as well?

Anyone else have thoughts?

Opus and Anejo - while the have recently been found more often...are still HTF sticks. The monte's list are not.

oh..PMS!

:whistling:

This was kinda my thought as well. No biggie guys. I'll look for something else...

Thanks for hosting Greg! And thanks to the rest of you for the help/direction.

Fair enough. I've never tried to buy a box of WOAMs, Opus or Anejo. Seems I've always stumbled upon singles. Yes, I'll fully admit a few fine members here on CP have helped in that department. But I also had the chance to buy them from a few retailers online.

I'll defer to you fellas on this matter and I trust your judgement.

However, there are no other brands that come to my mind with worthwhile limited releases like these. For educational purposes what generally tends to compare to these? I typically smoke Padrons and those always seem to be very easy to find. Even 64's, 26's, 40ths, 80ths are around. Last time I stopped in Tobacco Grove in town here they had all those available.

Thanks,
Bill

I highly recommend going to completed passes and reading through some of them to see what folks were trading for Anejo/Opus. There you will find tons of information. But, to give you a couple of examples I found, one trade for an Anejo was a Tatuaje T110 OR. Another trade for an Opus Robusto was an Opus Love Affair. What other trades can you come up with?
