CP’s Cigars 201-1 Pass

I've just received word from Gaspagoo that he has to bow out of the pass. So, BigJake, you got another memo. :) You'll ship directly on to Ultima83.

That's strange.....

Excess tape on the boxes kinda drives me nuts so I usually either take it off OR turn the box inside out. I had two passes arrive on the same day, this one and smelly's pass.

One was in a white box with tons of excess tape :D so I turned that one inside out and reglued it and the other pass was in a brown box that was in excellent shape without tons of excess tape so I left that one pretty much as is.

I only became slightly paranoid about this because for a while there back around 2002 (post September 11th) my post master told me that new postal regulations prohibited reusing boxes for reshipping. I thought he was full 'o crap but I thought I remembered finding something like that in the postal regs so from that point on, I always try and make sure that boxes I send back out look as neat as possible. I have noticed though that since Sept. 11, 2001 is now more than 6 years ago, the USPS isn't so strict about this as I've seen some pretty ratty looking boxes delivered to my house in the past couple of years. :laugh:

Anyway, Is this box white or brown? ??? (I think it was the white one).

My logic on the Anejo/Opus trade was that they both have the same MSRP and are usually both HTF.

My logic on the Padron -> Zino trade was that the Padron goes for 25, the Zino for about 26ish (and is a damn good smoke), so I figured that would be ok.

For the Padron/Opus trade, I was trying to find something in the 15ish - 16ish dollar range that had some prestige behind it. I was originally going to put in a Hemingway Masterpeice Maduro but I dropped it off the table onto a linoleum floor and cracked the wrapper, so that was then completely unacceptable. I then proceeded to take the Perf X out of the baggie and noticed a loose piece of tobacco coming from underneath the cedar sleeve. I gently slid the sleeve off and was saddened. Major crack, major unraveling, etc. Seeing how it's still a HTF cigar that goes for about 15-16ish bucks, I thought the Padron 64 Torpedo would be a good put @ around $15.

Pass goes out to KeithS in the AM.

Edit: Forgot to say I'll announce my take for the Padron and mail it to KeithS in the AM. As a sign of good faith, I'll throw in another nice one for the rest of the passers.
Edit2: Box is brown, CC. There wasn't too much excess tape. Just enough to be annoying and weigh a few ounces.

Pretty sure it's a brown one. When I picked it up from Smoke76 in Delaware, he had put it in a new box (replacing Greg's thoroughly abused one), which I believe was just bare cardboard (you'd think I could remember this better, as it was only a few weeks ago). I packed it out with new materials and sent it along.

You're logic is on the money (is that a pun?). Again, I apologize for my error on the trades. Learning as I go! Very excellent of you to throw in a stick to replace the Opus. Maybe you can find a wrapper and repair that thing? Hate to see it go to waste!

I then added in one of the new Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedos for #54 -- one of my new go to favorites, if I can afford it... haha.

Okay, so we have ONE winner so far for the Treasure Hunt. Putz Mulligan has found the Treasure and is the one winner from the board. We still need someone from the pass to claim the prize.
 
I've given it a full week and we don't have a winner in the pass for the Treasure Hunt. I'm going to post the riddle below and see if we can get the board to help with "hints" as to who has the Treasure. If anyone other than the Treasure Hunters has the answer, please give hints only to help these fellas out.

The FOG is one between three. One after four and three less three. If you take one then add another, you've found the man, one of the greatest brothers! Find the FOG and ask if he has the treasure.
