Maybe a blanket email to all CigarPool members is in order.

Gee, I wonder who would have all those email address in a spreadsheet somewhere ???

Let's come up with a stard letter so it's the same for everyone.

then we split the list up and each of us take 7 numbers and send it out through the board. That would be easy enough.

:D Now we're talkin' I meant we should send it to ALL CigarPOOL members. I NO WAIT I mean "someone" has most of their email addresses (there are only five members of CigarPool who I HOLD ON "someone" doesn't have an email address for. :p

Smitty's post got removed and GL is scanning all winnings received.
Why in HELL would the message be removed?

A blanket email is DEFINATELTY in order now.

Post scans of cigars received, what an A$$HOLE. That lying scumbag should post what he actually sends out instead of this BS:
Steven Myers - Sent today DC# 0304 1070 0001 8242 3290 - Dec 1, 2004, 17:54:02 ET

Technically, he should not be eligible to win since he didn't register by the noon deadline.

This is from CigarPool Rules & FAQ

A: YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR MAILING. Click the "Member Login" link (available at the top of any CigarPool page), which will take you to a login page where you can register your mailing after you have logged in. If you fail to register your mailing before 12:00 Noon MST the Wednesday of the next drawing, you will not be eligible to win that drawing but you will still be expected to mail a cigar to the winner. Failure to deliver a cigar to a winner on two occasions will put your CigarPool membership at risk and your number may be made available to someone else. If you are traveling or have other commitments that prevent you from mailing the cigars in a timely fashion, please let the CigarPool administrator know...before the next drawing deadline! Please do not submit your registration unless your package already has been mailed. Too often our good intentions get waylaid, and the winner never gets his or her cigars.

Steven Myers - Sent today DC# 0304 1070 0001 8242 3290 - Dec 1, 2004, 17:54:02 ET

Just a thought.

I'll bet Raleigh Parks would be interested in some consistency here, everyone remember his situation in August of 2003?

Okay in August of 2003 Raleigh Parks registered his mailing for number 59 but FORGOT to register his mailing for 92. The AZ daily number was "X92" (I can't remember exactly what is was) and was declared ineligible to win since he did not register that particular number even though he did indeed register his mailing for #52 AND the previous week's winner had marked both number 59 AND 92 as received. Shortly after that, Mr. Cook added the feature where if you have two numbers in CigarPool and you are logged, a "button" on the log in screen appears on top that says:

"you are logged in as number 87 - switch to my other number - 86"

Again, this feature was added after the famous "Raleigh Parks incident"

CigarPool AUTOMATICALLY sends out a reminder email to people on Sunday or Monday to lazy people like gamehumper REMINDING them of the rule. He obviously ignores that too as he registers darn near all of his mailings at the last minute.

He should be delcared ineligible per the rules. I already sent Mr. Cook and email to this effect but my guess is that he will ignore me as he usually does with emails I send him.

I would suggest that others email Mr. Cook and pointing out the rules. What's good for Raleigh Parks is good for gamehumper too ;)

E-mail sent to CigarPool admin pointing out the rules and such. :p

Yep. Rules are rules. If you forgive one person you need to forgive everyone. And shame on you if you wait until the next drawing to get those sticks out. Unless I'm on vacation I try to send mine out during the next few days. You win and you get excited. Why would you string a winner out.

I doubt they will do anything this many days after. A few have sent sticks out already.

Raleigh is a good friend of mine, and this incident still burns his hide till today. I have not talked to him about this yet, but I'm sure it will come up.

*NOTE: Email sent to Cigarpool admin about the rules. Agreed, if they can screw someone honest like Raleigh and let someone who is 100% scumbag win.... Guys, thats just plain wrong.

yup, I think because of this I'm going to give up my numbers....

No sense staying in it if they let a scum bag win and and honest player gets screwed.

well, I sent my bag of sticks, a couple of opus, some Anejo's, a VSG, and a PAM 26, and a handfull of Isoms.....that should make him happy.

I have a bridge to sell ya....

Well, for those who have not read their mail yet, Michael has taken all of these notes to heart, and ruled that Mr.Meyers had not registered in time, and thus the winner is..........07 Doug Selsor :D
Check your cigarpool website, there is a note in the message board.

All at once, everything is made right in this world. ;)

There is justice after all!!

Michael knew his name was mudd if he didn't reverse it!!

I'm sure GL could rreally use a friend about now......is PA close to IL?? :D

Here's a copy of the email I got

Code:
Hi folks,
I made an error yesterday when I declared the Winner - as it has been pointed out the deadline for registering your mailing is noon MST and the mailing for #47 was not registered by that time.
I'd like to apologize to Steven for the false excitement =( please keep the cigars that have been mailed to you.
Anyone who has sent Steven cigars, plz LMK & I will include cigars covering these to the new Winner so he does not get shortchanged with my mailing.
  My apologies to all...thx,
   Michael

I sent him an email specifically naming Raleigh, and his incident and told him it was completely unfair Raleigh had his winning taken away because he forgot 1 number, where this guy flat out missed the dead line completely.

I guess it worked- Along with all the other "fan" mail he got, no doubt. :)

I forwarded all this to Raleigh... If you have his email- some of you might do the same.

Looks like all our mass e-mails to Michael worked. :D

I have rectified this, thx for the note! I will keep an eye on him - thx
again,
Michael

That's great !!!

Sorry, my offer only applied to gamehumper. :D

Doug Selsor has been in CigarPool FOREVER and according to my records has never won (well at least not since I've been in which has been for over three years).

I'm definately sending Doug some very nice cigars as he is one of two or three guys who have been as long as I have and have never won. Doug has ALWAYS set his sticks out on time. When I won in May of 2003, he sent me SEVEN cigars :) When I won in October of 2003, he sent me another package with SEVEN cigars. These were all nice cigars as well.

Ya know what's even funnier? since 47 was ineligible, the next winner would have been 04 but Michael Gorman didn't register his mailing!!!!! Not only that, the two winners before Doug have yet to receive Mr. Gorman's packages???

WOW, what a turn of events, I forgot to look up who would have won if indeed gamehumper was declared ineligible and talk about a person who deserves to win, DOUG SELSOR.!!!!!

Please everyone, send Doug an extra special package, he deserves it.
