Cigarpass Book Thread

I have stopped reading print all together, with about an hour and a half of commute I use Libby and and do audio books now, I am 3 hours and 1 complete book away from finally finishing The Dark Tower, a series I have been obsessed with since 1988
This is the set of books I compare all other adventure books too. By far the best of Stephen Kings work. IMHO

Nelson DeMille passed away about two weeks ago from cancer. I was gut-punched when I read the newsletter. :(
I hadn’t heard that. I’ve read all of his books. He’ll always be one of my favorite authors.

Honestly, The Gunslinger and Wizard and Glass are the benchmark for most things I read in that genre.
Neuromancer for Cyberpunk, Shadowfires/Mr. Murder for suspense.

For Sci-Fi, I really like really bad sci-fi, its my guilty pleasure

A Sanitary and Improvement District (SID) is created when a developer buys land for a housing development. The SID can install streets, sewers and power, and can also buy land for public parks. To accomplish these tasks, the SID has the authority to issue bonds, levy taxes and special assessments, and fix rates for services.

I don't live inside the city limits, its an SID until the city decides to annex us.

I don’t read too many sci-fi books but the last one I read is probably the best I’ve ever read. The Hunter by David Beers. There’s at least two more in the series but weren’t available on Kindle Unlimited when I finished the first one so I moved on. I went back to another AC Coble book, Quill, The Cartographer, and it’s very good, like all ac coble books I’ve read. With this series available now I’m not sure when I’ll get back to The Hunter but I will eventually.
