Truth be told .... I like Christmas music, and I like a wide assortment of Christmas music, everything from Perry Como to Eastern Bloc singing Christmas songs. I'm always looking for new CD's to add to my collection so let me hear some of your favorites.

One of my current favorite Christmas CD's is "A Christmas Celebration of Hope" B.B. King ... Christmas music and the blues just seem to go together so well

XM has a channel that is all Christmas music. Everything from the classics to recent stuff. When I get home with the kids at night, we turn it on for most of the evening. I used to hate when it came time for Christmas music to start, but now find it very nostalgic. Must be the fact that my farts have started to turn to dust, as well as my bones... LOL!

Oh and I like the Beach Boys doing Christmas songs, as well as the blues versions...

Merry Axemas vol. 1&2
Ho, Ho, Hoey vol. 1-3
Tis the Season for Los Straitjackets!
Trans Siberian Orchestra (all)

I have always loved Andy Williams, and Tennesee Ernie Ford's versions of traditional Christmas hymns/tunes. Guess it comes from growing up listening to my mom's LPs of them..

Can't go wrong with Sinatra, Crosby, Cole, etc. White Christmas is my favorite movie to watch on Christmas Eve. The whole soundtrack is great and gets me in the spirit.

Time-Life Treasury of Christmas ...it's great.

all time favorite xmas song - "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues

R.I.P. Kirsty Maccoll. I never stop missing her.
I've seen The Pogues more times than I can recall, both w/ Shane and w/o. Seen Shane too, w/ the Popes. Amazing, amazing stuff. That song is definitely amongst the finest moments of music ever recorded.

We saw Los Straightjackets in town last year, right around X-Mas. It was at a Festivus Party. They were with The World Famous Pontani Sisters and Kaiser George. What I wouldn't do with those three girls......

Some of my fave's as well, as are Frank's Christmas cd's and Dino's.
For a different spin, Brian Setzer (Orchestra) has some good Christmas cd's out, though he's starting to become a little too Chester Cheetahed out for his own good. The Rev. Horton Heat has a Christmas cd out too, and you really can't go wrong w/ the Rev, even though he ain't what he used to be back in his Subpop days w/ Taz.

He's a super cool guy, and super nice and down to earth. Back when I lived in California, hung out often with him and went surfing with him, etc. Very nice guy. Remember long, long ago catching him playing free shows in restaurant parking lots around the bay area in SF (like the Three Flames in San Jose). But you're right, would be cool to hit the Vegas strip w/ him...

Look at you guys, hob-knobbing with the rich and famous... LOL!

Nope, haven't heard the Charles Brown Christmas Blues...
