BOTL's in Arms Pass

Ive never had one problem with it. Its had countless rounds through it and has yet to jam. I wouldnt mind some new grips though. Other than that its good to go.

Gents we have 8 more spots open. At this point, regardless of them being filled or not, we have enough participants to get this under way in the near future...Looking at "shooting" time of early next week, before turkey day.

That being said, I'm loving seeing all of the different firearm preferences, keep em comin!

Please note before the pass begins:

From Dec 15th to Dec 28th, I will be with my family in NH. Depending on the order and time frame, it may have to go to that address.

Also, there is an new addition to my firearm family. stay tuned.

I am psyched to be in this pass. I will get up a pic soon as my technical difficulties have gotten gone. :) I will be out of state though myself from dec 23rd to the 31st. Hopefully that won't cause any issues. If so please let me know!!!

Don

Thanks for the invite and the virtual provision Jake!

Here are a few of my favorite guns. My most prized is a Winchester Model 70 .308 from 1961. My dad has it at his house for hunting right now (it was his before he gave it to me).

Top to bottom:
Smith & Wesson 20 Gauge. Got this as my first gun for Christmas when I was about 11 years old.
Benelli Super Black Eagle 12 Gauge. Shoots 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 inch shells.
Knight Super Disc .45 Cal Muzzle loader. This thing is amazingly accurate!
Winchester Model 70 .30-06.
Remington HMR .17. Bad little varmint gun. We don't generally shoot more than 100 yds. here on the East Coast. ;)

What's your scope brand of choice? I'll be looking into getting one here in the near future and having it mounted on the m44 I restocked, until I find a better substitute. Frankly, don't know as much about them as I should.

I have two Bushnell's that I'm happy with, but I'm really impressed with the Leupold 3x9 Vari X mounted on the Muzzle loader pictured.

I may not be looking for something top of the line just yet, but here is kind of what Im looking at doing.

This is the new stock I put on it: Clicky
- I didn't want to go over the top with something nicer...after all it is only a $120 firearm...kicks like a mule though. The stocks the m44's come on were dipped in that preservation oil...and it was just too damn greasy for me to tolerate it anymore. The black synthetic fit perfectly and actually looks pretty good.

This is the mount I'm looking at getting: Clicky

There's a couple things that are preventing me from wanting to make the investment for this particular rifle though. First is that it has the bayonet that is fixed on the barrel, and would require gun smithing in order to remove it properly. Second, since I have a straight bolt, It would require more time and money to have the bolt re-drilled for the bent handle to use with the scope...then of course I have to get the new stock drilled for a scope.

All in all, I'm not sure how much I'm looking at with the removal of the bayonet, and that's even if I want it removed. It may serve no purpose...but at least it is aesthetically pleasing. It seems like to much of an investment in a screw-around rifle.

Maybe I should wait until I buy myself the Benelli R1 I've been yearning for, meh, so many choices in this hobby.

Thanks for the invite for this pass. I have to decline at this time as I will be gone quite a bit over the holidays with visiting family and for work. If you do a 2nd round of this pass in the spring I would definitely like to be included if possible.

I will post some pics of my firearms though if no one objects.

Here is some of my stash. I keep some more at my parents being I just don't have the room for all of them.

I'mmmmmm dreamin of a neeeew gun for CHRISTmas. Just like all the guns I own today. I hope its big and shiney. Can put a whole in bad guy's hiney and keep all his friends away. I'mmmm dreamin of a new gun for Christmas.

Sorry no pic yet. I will get one up today. :) I too am trying to pick up a few things here and there before Jan comes. :) I am purchasing I believe 2 more stripped lowers for future build and hopefully a .45 and another .40, preferably a Sig Equinox 229 carry :)

Don

P.S. And the reason for all this now is just because with Democrats coming to power I just want to make sure if indeed they come back with anti gun laws I will still be able to build up the lowers that would be grandfathered in :)

lol, we almost have the exact same shopping list. :) I want a Kimber black stainless .45 and the SW 686 6 shot .357 wheel. Too many guns I want, and not enough cashola!

I told someone the other day I that I may get a part time job and dedicate the cash solely to guns and cigars.
