Also ULA was a great code. Have tons of sticks with that code. 2014 was a stellar year for cc'sI think 2014 does belong on top. Anything LUB 2014 I see up for grabs is a no brainer worthwhile investment. Even if I’m poor at the time.
I think 2007 is too low, but in fairness, it doesn’t apply to all brands. Things like Bolivar (Royal Corona), Montecristo (Edmundo), and RYJ (Short Churchill) have been stellar from then. Especially, anything the POS factory code, but the limited larger sized amount of Cohiba from 2007 have left me scratching my head. Granted I haven’t had any Cohiba from 2007 in 6 or more years.
01 was a terrible year for cuban cigars. Very high demand coupled with inexperienced rollers. Doesnt mean that your box is badNot on your list, so I'm curious what any of your thoughts on 01 are? I've got a box of Fonsecas that are some of my favorite cigars I've ever smoked. I'm particularly fond of the '17 LGR boxes I have too, mostly PL boxes.

That is correct. 1999 to 2001 were horrible for Cuban Cigars and didnt make the list, however I do have several (out of a hell of a lot) that are pretty amazing...01 was a terrible year for cuban cigars. Very high demand coupled with inexperienced rollers. Doesnt mean that your box is bad
Bill @CigSid Correct me if I am wrong. The list is in order of year starting with the best? The bold codes are the best codes from that year? The non-bold are good codes from that year? The bold codes are the exceptions for all dates, for example, POS 2006 and 2007 are some of the best box codes ever... but, the overall offerings for the year 2007 are sub par...
I have seen some 2015 boxes with the LAS box code, but not very many. If the box was well taken care of for the last 8 years, I bet they are great cigars.Just got a box of 2013 RG Perlas with LAS factory code. Can't find any info on that factory code?
Happy to hear this! Now if I can just stay out of them for a few years2020 just moved up one spot... I am really liking what I see.
They are great now, and I believe they will also be greater in the future.Bill, is 2020 moving up because they are great now, or because they "will be" great?
Or both?
