BBQ III

My series continues in August, as of the last doctor visit. I might be out of this one.

Yes, I know. LOL! I have no other choice, being relocated May 31, but will probably move before that. So, I'm in Charleston, WV either way. I'd obviously prefer to stay in Fairfax and go to this BBQ, but no choice at this point. I would still like to go, even though it'll be a 4-5 hour drive instead of 1-2 hours.

Andrew

Dude I am in Charles Town not Charleston. Alot closer to Fairfax than Charleston.

I would be happy to host this years BBQ Herf. It would actually make things a lot easier for me with the twins, but I can make it work wherever we have it.

For some of you farther up (cough cough AVB) in the PA area, check out a new airline that flys directly into Greensboro. www.skybus.com if you plan ahead, you can literally get round trip tickets for like $75. Just pay close attention to where you actually fly out of (it will say philly, but its probably a smaller airline somewhere near philly)

edit to add details about sky bus

It would only let me go as far ahead as May, but I priced out a (2) Person, round trip fare from Philly to greensboro flight. Pretty damn hard to beat a round trip ticket for 2 for around $125

Oops, Sorry Dennis. Its pretty good size, almost an acre. the big ole 5th wheel would fit......

probably

Until the location is locked in I think it's a little early to start looking at plane fare. I don't think we could fit all the camping gear on the plane anyway :p

This is true, but just throwing out some info on the Sky bus. Besides, you are a Marine, how much gear do you need :sign:

A hammock and my sleeping bag but the other half needs a caravan worth of stuff

How do your neighbors feel about folks camping in your yard, drinking, smoking cigars and generally carousing around at all hours?
And then there are the wardrobe malfunctions... :whistling:

oh dude, you've got to be f'n kidding me....you brought that up

they are fine with it, especially if we invite them. I'm not really in a city area, more like a neighborhood out in the sticks.

No worries on that one.

You have got to be f-in kidding me. A BBQ Herf without the FLASH man!!! Say it isn't so. :( What will we do for entertainment?

Skybus actually offers $10 flights for the first 10 seats of every flight. So, planning ahead would save you a BUNDLE. I've been keeping an eye on it for potential summer trips across the US, but man, people snag that stuff like it was a pre-embargo cuban with 100 yrs age on it.
