3 Pricks, Giddy Asshats & a Flake pass

In hindsight I think the current HL price actually averages to $9.25 versus $9.35.

So, here's my trade #3 rationale:

HL-Original release, 5yrs old, common release. $9.25 current price(I have no clue what the going rate was for them in '08).

'10 Singulare- One time, limited release, 3yrs old. $11 averaged on Serious($12) and Smoke Inn ($10). I think they would
average closer to $10.50 if there were more sources.

Factoring in age and rarity I THINK its an overput of .35-.85 overall. But that's open to debate.

I consider each pass to be a learning experience as well as a chance to see and trade for sticks I don't normally get a shot at. This was a difficult attempt at a trade,
but I wanted to try it. If its not allowed, no problem.
 
The rules for the pass from CJ are:
NC for NC - CC for CC. Please do your best to match price for price, rarity for rarity. Please avoid putting more that 2 of the same stick.
If overputs cannot exceed .50, then lets add that to the list and keep rolling.

Unless everyone uses the same sources for prices and there's a concrete % on how much to add for age, rarity, and availability, no one is going to come up with the same price point for ANY cigar. You have to use your best judgement, ask for help, and do your due diligence. What can't happen is hate one trade, love another trade, and dislike another trade, when all three have the same similarities and are damn near identical examples.
 
Yes please gentlemen, use your best judgement and common sense. No one is holding a gun to the back of your head, no one is asking anyone else to anything they don't want to do. This won't be a "T - 858 Sungrown/P - 858 Maduro" and I don't expect everyone to trade a $8 5 year old regular release for another $8 5 year old regular release. The fun and patience has been slurped out of this pass, let's all sit back, have a cigar and ENJOY this experience. Bitching, complaining and being overly critical can bring a pass to a screeching halt quickly.

I agree with less bitching, more passing. If there is something totally off then by all means say something. But let's not continue to gripe. I was under the impression we were all grown ass adults. If CJ OK's it then its all good. Keep it moving.
 
Just as a point of discussion, I changed the '08 anejo put to an '05 as I didn't want to put a damaged stick in to the pass lot.  I asked about it and no one seemed to object.  I wasn't meaning to cause any sort of issue at all with overputs or unbalanced trades.  Sorry if I screwed it up for everyone else!
 
Bluue13 you have done nothing of the sort. In fact I commend ypu for not putting a slightly damaged but still smokable stick.

You didn't do anything wrong. I thought it was a good put and so did everyone else. I just used that trade as an example of guys in the pass working both sides of the fence on over puts and rarity.

Sorry if I dont whoreup the thread like I should. The days are crazy a cinstant basis these last few weeks. But have no fear citizens, Im watching!
 
OK first pass for me and I know this isn't a newbie pass so hopefully my research and questions to friends has paid off.  So here goes.

Anyone know that rarity/release amount for the Unnamed Reserva?   I think this one might not work because of the rarity, but I'm not completely sure what the status is of the Unnamed, and if it will be a frequent release.  Anyone?

Brent, I was just going to comment on that one as I think the AF-UR is a "rare" item.  Here is what Halfwheel had to say:  "While the exact number of total Unnamed Reserve released is unknown judging by the numbers of boxes that the retailers we talked to received, there were not many sent out."
