England wins! Now for the Sweden game! This should be a great game. The Swedish offense is incredibly good with Zlatan and Larsson up front. Two of the deadliest strikers in the game. Go Sverige!

Shocking result considering the T&T starting goalie was injured in warmup, then T&T had a man sent off in the first few minutes of the 2nd half and played the rest of the game 1 man down. They almost scored as well when their sub hit the goalpost! Great result for T&T, really bad for Sweden.

I just got back from town myself and just realized the Argentina vs. IVC was even on...looks like a blow out anyways.

WOW I cant beleive Iran gave Mexico such a hard time the first half.

GOod too see Mexico pull it off the second half.. The coach really pulled out some magic with those substitutions for the 2nd half!!


Now to watch the Portugual VS Angola game!! My money is on Portugual..LOL!!

I was rahter disappointed with Portugual
1 GOAL against a weaker team. On the flipside..kudos to Angola for holding down the offensive power of Portugual.

Tomorrow Italy takes the pitch. I can't wait to see if the guys are in top form for this tournament. Alot of questions still to be answered about Totti's fitness. Injuries on the back end might hurt the Azzurri. Hopefully they make short work of Ghana.

Can't stand Totti. Watched him in a Roma match last year and the guy just can't stay on his feet (especially in the penalty box). Then of course, there was his performance during the Euro 2004...2 match ban just was not enough.

When he's on his game he's a great talent though. If he could keep the other stuff in check he'd be an amazing player.

I'm nervous about the game today. With all the other "sure wins" that were supposed to happen so far in the World Cup, I'm hoping Italy doesn't fall prey to a hungry Ghana squad.

Seems like these World Cup spreadsheets are all the rage now. I've got a different one that has 4 different tabs on the bottom showing you scores, group standings, schedules etc. There's also the ability to choose your time zone and favorite team so you always know when the games are upcoming (it highlites your favorite teams' games)

USA game starts at noon, right? I'm thinking about trying to find a feed to watch on-line. Anyone know of one? I'll at least listen.
It has some ingredients of a good game. If we (USA) can hold down Nedved and Koller (how is his recovery, anyway?), it is not a forgone conclusion that we'll get stomped. Tough grouping or not, #5 is #5.

I don't think there's any live audio feeds online. Yahoo has a matchcast but it's all printed-text stuff. The BBC is carrying the games on the web but they're blocked over here.

Crazy game between Japan and Australia. Japan leads almost the entire game 1-0, then with only 6 minutes left Australia strikes for 3 goals to win 3-1.
