The Fools - Christmas Toons
toons.jpg

The Fools catch all the warmth and cheer of the
holiday season with poignant treasures like
I Shot Santa In My Underwear, Norburt the
Nearsighted Reindeer, Christmas Stress, Santa
Bird-Dogged My Baby, Christmas Loser and
many more. Tree trimming toons galore!

This one has an incredible version of the Little Drummer Boy By Johnny Cash.

nothing like Little Drummer with Subwoofers cranked! love it :D

also, been listening to my better halfs :p Kenny and Dolly's Christmas

I guess I'm a little more, um, traditional..
Anything by Mannheim Steamroller, and Anne Murray's Christmas Album. Her voice is just fabulous.
I also love funny songs, like Grandma got Run Over by a Reindeer, Walkin Round in Women's Underwear (sung to the tune of Walkin in a Winter Wonderland), and the classic "Blue Christmas" sung by Porky Pig.

I like more traditionl stuff too. My favorite song is "O Holy Night" by either a good choir or a someone like Michael Crawford or anyone with a strong voice.

For pop Christmas songs, though I have not heard it in a long time, and didn't find it at I tunes, I like "Christmas Song" by Jethro Tull. The last line is "The Christmas spirit is not what you drink".

When I think of Christmas music, the first song that comes to mind is "Dominick - The Christmas Donkey". Now that is what Christmas is all about! :p

Let's see:

Charlie Brown Christmas - Vince Guaraldi
Charlotte Church - Dream a Dream
Boney's Funky Christmas - Boney James
A Charlie Borwn Christmas - Cyrus Chestnut and Friends

Wilkey

Some of my fave's as well, as are Frank's Christmas cd's and Dino's.
For a different spin, Brian Setzer (Orchestra) has some good Christmas cd's out, though he's starting to become a little too Chester Cheetahed out for his own good. The Rev. Horton Heat has a Christmas cd out too, and you really can't go wrong w/ the Rev, even though he ain't what he used to be back in his Subpop days w/ Taz.

Speaking of Brian Setzer .... This weekend I caught the Brian Stezer Christmas concert on PBS, probably rerun but what a cool show.

Let's see .... I also found "Hipsters' Holiday" buried in my hard drive this past weekend and an mp3 of "Let's Put The X ack In Christmas" by Candye Kane with Country Dick Montana.

My favorite:

The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole

My overall favorite as well, you did hear that "The Christmas Song" is now the nations number one Christmas song. Surpassing the previous number one song, White Christams, which held the title for many, many years.

It's that time of the year again .... Christmas music time! Oh how I love my mixed up bag of Christmas tunes. Last year, thank to you guys in this thread, I added some very cool new tunes to the collection.

So, anybody have any more suggestions for cool Christmas music?, I'm up to about 2.3 gigs of just Christmas music and since I got this new hard drive I have a lot more room for more

Not the entire CD but I'm digging the Etta James version of Merry Christmas Baby, maybe it's time to go get the CD.

We have a Christmas mix cd that we usually play during the holidays. In my opinion, you just can't beat the classics. Bing, Perry Como, the charlie brown xmas songs, and we also like "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" sang by James Earl Jones.

O Holy Night - John Berry (one of the most pure voices in music) If his version of O Come Emmanuel and O Holy Night don't get you in the Christmas spirit, then you just don't get it!

Take a listen to John Berry's version of O Holy Night....mind blowing.

I like more traditionl stuff too. My favorite song is "O Holy Night" by either a good choir or a someone like Michael Crawford or anyone with a strong voice.

Little Drummer Boy- Bob Seger Version

Carol of the Bells cranked up on any stereo-very nice.

Santa Baby by Ertha Kitt also.....

Holiday Sing Along with Mitch Miller

I grew up with this album. It contained all of the words inside. There were enough copies for me, my brother and my sister, so we were able to all sing along

Of course as I got older I had to buy the CD and I play it every year...... but I still miss the crackling sound that the vinyl made
