Looks yum. Short review?
I have quckly become a fan of Sightglass - their roasting is always on point imho.Looks yum. Short review?
Love to see a shout out to Sweet Maria's in Oakland! That's where I get my green beans when I roast. When I buy em already roasted it varies. Lately it's been these:Working my way through a bunch of different Kenyan beans (sweetmarias.com) in my Behmor roaster. Got a really nice peaberry we've been drinking for the past couple of weeks. After a dozen or so years of roasting my own, Kenyan beans have become the family favorite.
I usually rotate between SM's Kenyan and Sumatran beans. I need to find a good decaf bean to roast as I am quite caffeine sensitive and have to do half-caff sometimes.Working my way through a bunch of different Kenyan beans (sweetmarias.com) in my Behmor roaster. I'm happy to have kind of taken the reigns of the coffee thread, and am glad you take a look! If I come across any interesting Colombians, I'll let you know! (Coffee, not Cartel)I browse this thread often. I'm a simpleton when it comes to coffee. What I do know is my favorite is Columbian. It just does it for me. Thanks for the thread.
I'm not a true connoisseur as I need non dairy creamer to make my cup perfect.
That is pretty sweet!!I just got this in my email, and I thought of this thread. If you really like fancy coffee beans, and you've got some extra cash to burn this may be of interest. Noma was considered for a period of time the #1 restaurant in the world. I am sure this is great coffee, but nothing they do is cheap (I did not look at the price) as I only drink coffee about once a month or so.

And actually, I don't know why I didn't think of this before but the boutique cigar brand in Texas has a cigar and coffee of the month club that's $50. It includes a pound of coffee beans that they roasted in-house and 5 single sticks, including a cigar that is exclusive to the club, and often two or three of their other very limited releases, and one or two house sticks. I've never had a bad stick from them. Some are just average, but they make some pretty spectacular ones too. I did this for a while, and enjoyed it. I only stopped because we had way too much coffee collecting in the cupboard.

No coffee today for me, but did anyone else on this thread watch the latest episode of Reacher (fantastic series by the way, not to mention the movies) on Amazon Prime. Reacher is drinking a cup of kopi luwak coffee----no idea this even existed. And now I also know this exists too...Black Ivory Coffee. They give a whole new meaning to this coffee tastes like![]()
