Who needs a Hobo hut?

Few more days and the hobo hut is going to get shipped. (Contest will conclude by the end of next week 10/15/2022)

We have had some great memories shared here and some well deserved warmth needed. Let's see who is in the running right now...

I'm submitting a pic this evening, it's 50F and drizzle. It might not be ice fishing, but it'd sure be more comfortable in a Hobo Hut!
 
Almost solid water season, 34 low in michhio area. (I was going to mush Toledo and Detroit together but it kept coming out toilet)
 
That gets my vote! Not that I have a vote or anything like that, but that's frigid for mid October.

Whaaaaat!!? I thought other posts had more reactions than mine, I wasn’t expecting to win! Sorry I’m just now seeing this post, we’ve been out at the new property busting ass on projects before the cold weather arrives for good. This is really exciting! I’ve been dreading the cold and not being able to smoke anything that takes more than half an hour without it becoming unpleasant. It’ll be just me using it, only a couple friends of mine enjoy cigars. 😁😁

My fiancé and I bought a 20 acre hobby farm in Spring Valley, WI, which is about a 35 minute drive from our current house in Red Wing, MN. Half the land is tillable and rented out to a farmer. The other half is mostly wooded with an existing pole shed that was built about 12 years ago. The previous owner finished and insulated it, but suuuucked at electrical, so I’ve been undoing and redoing all of it. We don’t have an LP tank or heater setup, so it’ll stay cold for this winter while I finish up the insulating and figuring out what to do with the 12x12 uninsulated sliding barn doors. We spent most of yesterday digging a hole and building an outhouse to hold us over until we get a house built, hopefully next year.
