Who needs a Hobo hut?

The other half is mostly wooded with an existing pole shed that was built about 12 years ago. The previous owner finished and insulated it, but suuuucked at electrical, so I’ve been undoing and redoing all of it. We don’t have an LP tank or heater setup, so it’ll stay cold for this winter while I finish up the insulating and figuring out what to do with the 12x12 uninsulated sliding barn doors. We spent most of yesterday digging a hole and building an outhouse to hold us over until we get a house built, hopefully next year.

It’s going to be our future home, hopefully get things together to start building a house in the spring. We’re hoping to have the Amish build the structure, and I’m going to take on building the interior as my second full time job. After remodeling pretty much my entire house, I decided I want to build as much of my next house as I’m capable of doing. That’s the most exciting part of this new venture, getting to build (most) of my own house.

Building your own things is one of the most gratifying things there is!

Make sure to take before and after pictures! Because, when you're the one doing all the work everything happens gradually and you tend to forget where it started.
 
I don’t know what I did to deserve this but damn Steve-o. What a surprise I guess my doggie and kiddo warmed your heart.
My wife was questioning me about this rando package that came with all her crazy Amazon purchases for x-mas today. I was like “uhh yeah I think I know what this is” she said “ those dudes in that cigar group are pretty freaking cool.” She’s right. I love this place. This winter will be a whole new ball game for me. I might actually burn a few out in this bad mammajamma!

Just being a brother here at CP and participating in our shenanigan's was enough for me. I just hate to see dogs in the cold, but I guess you and the tiny humans can use it too.

I hope you can find a use for it, stay warm and see you on the herf, don't forget your fans for ventilation, heater string lights!

This must be what Oprah feels like.
 
I'm guessing this is what was on my porch this morning - didn't have time to look before heading out. I don't know what time UPS dropped it off, I was around that part of the house pretty much all evening and never heard them.
