Just a few work days away from the start of college football season! This week can't go by any slower.

As a huge fan of the sport, namely my Missouri Tigers, I was wondering if any of you ladies and gents have any vested interest in a certain college team (or teams). M I Z!

We are a Buckeye family! We'll see how they do this year after the clusterf#$k that took place over the last year.

First game against Akron shouldn't be too bad and we play Miami in a few weeks. I think Miami and OSU may set the record for most players suspended for a game :whistling:

My wife and I are Longhorns through and through. Sadly our future looks turbulent to say the least.

edit* The Texas Longhorns look turbulent, not my relationship with my wife :p

Growing up in PA, unless you have direct ties to a different institution, it seems you are either a Penn State loyal, a Notre Dame loyal, or I think that there's about a baker's dozen or so in Allegheny County who are Pitt fans. I'm a Notre Dame loyalist.

Go ahead, get it out of your system. I'll give you a second...

Ok, everyone over it, now? Good. :p

I saw Brady Quinn's last game in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl, where they looked entirely uninspired against LSU. We have plans to go see ND-Navy next year in Ireland. I saw Ron Powlus play when he was still in Berwick (back when they ran the High School national rankings for so long). I was a fan of The Bus, before he was The Bus. Lou Holtz will always be the Notre Dame coach, in my eyes. Everyone one since has just been keeping his whistle warm.

I love college football season. I'm not sure which I enjoy more: CFB opening weekend, Rivalry weekend, or Memorial Day weekend with the Indianapolis 500.

I saw Ron too in Berwick as my family is from there. You too??

I'm originally from NE of Scranton. Our school was in the Suburban Conference at the time (not sure what conference or division they are in, now, as it's switched at least twice since the early 90's). I think we had three note-worthy seasons for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure what they've done since I graduated.

*EDIT* Not that it has anything to do with football, but my first big "arena" concert was KISS at the Bryce Jordan center many beers ago.

Fellow Big 12-2-1er! We will see where all this realignment stuff takes us sooner than later it seems.
I look forward to the UT-MU game this year, hopefully we get the Texas monkey off our back!

I grew up in the burbs of Philly but my grandparents live in Berwick and I have relatives in Old Forge where I spent many summers in both towns when I was younger. I still get up there several times a year.

Where is all the love for Kentucky beating Western Kentucky? You have to love reasonably mediocre high school football being played at the Division One level. Bring on Central Michigan...where is Anthem when I need him!!!

Being a PSU student I have to have optimism in my schools team... WE ARE after all PENN STATE
