Favorite place would have to be the back patio of the WPA-era Stone Lodge at Buescher State Park here in Texas, in late spring/early summer. A group of us used to rent it out a couple weekends a year before the price doubled, and just hang out, drink, talk, bbq, herf . . . the Lodge is an awesome, Craftsman-style structure and the back patio is elevated and surrounded by a thick raised wall of cut basalt. You're sort of in the trees, dappled sunlight, overlooking a lake . . . it's just grand.
But we haven't been able to do that for awhile.
At home, I smoke at my local B&M's lounge, or in my study (I got a window exhaust fan, which seems to keep the smell out of the rest of the house) but my favorite place here is my own back patio, watching the sun go down over the fence. It's great out there as long as the weather cooperates; summers here can be miserable but spring and fall and the nicer winter days, that's where I relax.
