So far it has not lived up to the hype in my opinion..I was pumped for this 2K6 baseball game and I'm not that impressed. The Hi Def is all that really seperates this from regular xbox. Guess its still pretty early in its life and things will get much better. I am a 30 year old kid BTW this thread is proof :D

I'm waiting for PS3. I played my xbox for a while after I got it, but soon lost interest. I always ended up going back to the games I love on the PS2. Yes, I am a sony whore.

Call of Duty 2 and PGR 3 are pretty awesome, and I just picked up Top Spin 2.....hope I can get some time to play it

meh,

even though i am 20, i am not much of a gamer.
i use to have a Xbox, but sold it around 1 1/2 years ago.
games are just too disapointing; too unrealistic, and too mundane (exception being the Splinter Cell series).

but i do hear the PS3 is suppose to be much better.
unfortunatly though, the last i heard they were having trouble developing some game software, and were also fighting some legal battle against a patent infringment on vibration controllers.
there are all these issues delaying the release date of the PS3.

also, you mention that the only difference is hi-def; isn't that pretty much the only difference in all game systems? as systems progress (PS1->PS2, N64->Gamecube), the only real difference i see is that the graphics are getting better. gameplay itself, tends to be the same. i mean, i am not comparing this to old Sega Genesis systems; gameplay has obviously changed alot since then.

however, i'd rather just buy some nice cigars :)

I used to play on the original Xbox and have a Live account. Would play basketball with a buddy of mine. Had some fun matches going because we both used the headsets so you could taunt each other while playing. It gets boring pretty quick though, and I would never find time to play now with the kid around. Maybe in a few years when the daughter can play games I'll get the latest and greatest gaming systems and have my ass handed to me by her.

Yep, I play too many PC games to need another console. If Xbox had like 3-5 games I really, really wanted, I might take the plunge on it. People who I know that have the 360 say it has a few problems.

Yea I am a PS2 whore myself, but i tend to go on playing sprees.. I will play fpr a month or two and then not touch it for a few months, but I will say I put in some time on SOCOM 3 onlie, sheesh it was addictive. I am waiting for PS3 also, hope it will live up to the hype.,

Tried a racing game at Best Buy on the xbox 360 and it was pretty cool.

However, like some I'm a Sony whore and I'm waiting for the PS3.
Although I've heard rumors it's gonna be in the 500-600 dollar range :0

And what the hell is blue-ray?

I like the Sony stuff but took the bait on the 360, I haven't had any problems so far.

Call of Duty 2 is awesome and I just bought Tomb Raider Legends (huge fan of the series, I have played all of them so far) and it hasn't disappointed so far, truly the best of the series to date.

2k6 in HD looks like ass. Looks like regular graphics.

If you want to get the best HD game output please rent FIGHT NIGHT . HOLY CRAP!!

But yeah very disappointing system.
Lots of problems with the earliesst systems sols I hear.

Luckily i waited for the ps3

Blue-ray is the technology that Sony is using for high definition dvd. PS3 will blow away 360 just for this feature alone.
