I wouldn't say anything.

A friend of mine that doesn't smoke cigars and lives on the other side of the state bought some "Cohibas" a while back. He called me all excited and told me about this guy he worked with that would sell him some "real Cuban Cohibas" for $20 a piece. I told him to go to Cigaraficianado.com to check the counterfiet gallery before he bought them. Of course he didn't check on line and bought them right away so I figured I would just take some known real Cohibas next time we got together and compare. I decided to let it go and let him enjoy what he thought was a real Cuban Cohiba especially if he actually liked the cigar.

I've come to the conclusion that everything with COHIBA on it is fake. That way I don't waste any money trying to get lucky with a real one. I see tons of COHIBAs on the golf course, at bars, and other places, and after looking at the bands and the constructin of the stick, they are fakes. Wrong font, wrong size lettering, not enough squares, too many squares, circles, ovals, triangles, wrong colors, wrong cap, wrong ring gauges, etc.........all fakes. Even the General Cigar Red Dots are being faked.

The only COHIBA I'd smoke are the Red Dot domestics I bought myself (from a ruputable source, someone I knew gave it to me, or I got it from a pass here at CP. Any other source is suspect at best. Just my opinion.

As far as that dude at the tables........let him go on thinkin' what he's thinkin'. It's not my place to crush his nuts.

And I smoke with the band on. I'm proud of what I smoke, whether it's an overpriced OPUS X or a Buck fifty bundled stick.

well I posted this before so heres the Readers Digest version

Inlaws went to the Islands on a cruise, came back with Cohibas Cubanos that they had carefully snuck threw customs lol they where so proud when they gave me one.
Lousy wrapper smudged band and the key to there originality was in the GLASS topped Cohiba box they came in.
Now I could a said something right then and there but I figured they went to all the trouble of bringing me one why should I burst there bubble and I accepted the Cohiba thanking them for thinking of me.
Was it a fake? most deffinately, did I let on, no way !
I'm saveing it for a Cigar ( Swisher Sweets ) Afficienado, so I can enjoy the show he or she puts on raveing about it lol

Well, I had the occassion arise last night...went to one of those "We have over 200 beers from all over Ze World, call me when you're ready" places and NO, I didn't get a Sam Adams.. Had several Young's Double Chocolate Stout's :thumbs:
Next table over, I spied a 5-Pack box of Fake Monties and pulled up a chair at their table. I fiddled with the box/pack long enough that he figured out on his own. I kinda broke my own rule.

What was I smoking? A Cuaba Millenium Distinguishado :thumbs:
