Finally got the coffee table finished. Bought a glass coffee table from FB marketplace for $40 and used the glass. Cut some spare bands for an accent across the barrel opening below.

There are a couple of guys selling once used bourbon barrels on FB here in NC. Bought two and turned them into two end tables, a little bar, and this coffee table.

@ConDaddy check with a few local breweries. They normally barrel age stouts, then sell them for $50/barrel. At least the local brewers do here in Tulsa.

Thanks never thought of that. Will definitely check that out. Figure I need a project for myself.

Careful with the beer-used barrels. I hear they stink to high heaven and its tough to get it out.

Great looking table. The cigar lounge I'm a member of has something similar. The guy that made it for them left the bung hole for us to put used bands in. He even installed a LED strip light under the glass to light up the bands.
