Just an FYI:

My local HD has a 45 bottle wine cooler on clearance sale for $147 and a 50 bottle one for $197. The 50 bottle one looks a lot bigger than 5 bottles more then the other. They might be doing it where you live too.

Going at lunch to check it out, thanks AVB

Well we just picked up a 50 bottle one and it is plugged in and it is doing as it should. Temp is adjustable from 39 to 64 if you wanted to store your sticks in it. I'm using it for wine though, not cigars.

What brand and model is this?

More woodworking skills then I have to make those shelves. Looks good though.

Heres a circular for the day after thanksgiving sale of 2006 that had the 50 bottle listed for $249 after a $25 mail in rebate, so this is really a good deal.. My guess is a new model is coming for the holiday season so they are moving these out cheap.

EDIT - Here is a link to a wine forum conversation about the 45 bottle unit. The most notable part of the conversation is the temperature variations experienced. LINK

Stopped today at the Home Depot in Frederick, MD (the one on McCain Drive) and picked up one of the 50 bottles units. Thanks for the heads-up AVB. Thinking I'll make it into a humidor. Need to do a little research on how to best humidify it. They had a couple more if anyone is nearby and wants one.

Glad you found one Tim. They have two left at the Shrewsbury PA store where I got mine.
