:thumbs: SO yesterday we decided to go out dinner.

When we get there she hands me a cigar box..

It was a Cuesta de Rey 25 box of cigars.. Well I have never smoked these so I was like oh thanks honey... SHe was like no go ahead an open the box.. I was like ok fine.. :0

SO I open it up and to my suprise there is a nice slection of NC premiums and others...

2 Opus X Reserve D's
2 Padron 1964 Diplomaticos
1 Padron 1926 #9
1 Rocky PAtel 1990
1 Rocky PAtel 1992
1 A/F 858 Maduro
1 A/F 858 Natural
2 A/F cigars which are unknown to me.. SHe tried to tell me the name but I did not know.. somethike like SANGRON? it is a shorty cigar with gran reserve on the label and cedar wrapped.
1 A/F Hemingway ( i think it is a classic due to the churchhill size 48x7?)

And probably the most interesting to me..

it says Padron 1926 series with a 40 years label on it below the normal padron label (#1626) and had a torpedo box press shape. WHich cigar is this? What can I expect from this cigar..

I thought the millenuium cigars were for the 1964 series only..

oh yeah and she also threw in a XICAR cutter..

Probably the Chateau Fuente Sungrowns, do they have a black ribbon on foot, if so..send these to me as they are trash and not worthy of your smoking them!! :D
 
Yes those are them.black ribbon and all!! . I was thinking maybe it was the sungrown..BUt she said no the guy kept saying sangron..LOL!! I bet he had a thick accent..LOL!!

That is a 40th Anniversary Torp you have there. It is the same blend as the 1926 series.

Wow, Alex... that's great! I've gotta get my better half on that wave length. I was showing her a humidor on line the other day and she surprised me by saying, "you should get it." I was shocked to say the least since she hasn't been a big fan of my "hobby".

Ah well, baby steps, right?
 
And to top it off I was about to order a humi from bargain humidors.. when she remarked.. Oh dont get a humi.... you dont really need one..

Okay, before I was jealous, now I'm just pissed...

When I get off the porch from smoking my next cigar (in 10 degree weather), I'm gonna tell the wife there's some new rules around here.

p.s. Please don't tell her I said that, okay... uh, hold on...

Nice selection of smokes btw, that Chateau Fuente Sungrown is one of my all time faves.
 
Nice selection of cigars she got for you. I got started with cigars through my other half too. Came home from an out-of-state work assignment and had a hefty paycheck. She took me to a cigar shop and got me an Opus X.

So the black bands are the sun growns, eh? :) Time to head back to my dealer for some more of the Flor Fina 858s. :D

Can't keep those Fuente frontmarks straight to save my soul!! :laugh:
 
You got a heck of a gift, remember to wash the car, put the toilet seat down, pick up after yourself, as well as put things away again for her this new year. ;) :p
 
Very cool, My wife is into macs and at christmas got me the chair side humi and A ten pack of ancient warriors. Now if you can just get her to smoke one your in business.

Looks like you scored big time Alex! She spent some major dough on you. My girl got me some pretty rare cigars for our Anniversary and I've yet to smoke one. I'm thinking I will on our next anniversary. :thumbs: Looks like we both have keepers :love:
 
Oops, I forgot to ask first. Not only did I print one for my wife, but one for my wife's cousin's wife. Guess that makes her a cousin too...whatever :p
 
I am still trying to keep my wife from making the "I smell somthing stinky" face whenever I light one up, OUTSIDE, I may add. With the windows closed even. :rolleyes:
