WhoTF is Sydney Crosby

I am not sure he will save hockey; but he may save my Pens!

I am not a huge hockey fan but I have heard that this guy is the best prospect since Lemieux....

LMAO! That is how I read it the first time and had to do a double take :sign:

Ive seen clips of this guy he is good, and when he was like 14 Wayne Gretzky said he would be better than he ever was. But No one can bring back hockey. Its too far gone now.

Not true. It will be back... it will just take time. Hockey always had potential but the defensive schemes wrecked their momentum. In the mid-90s, offenses were amazing... and led to the expansion of hockey. But then teams decided to play defense to win games, thus killing the one thing that made the game exciting.

The new rule changes (shootout, no red line) look like its going to open up the offenses again. Personally, an exciting hockey game is more entertaining than an exciting basketball game, IMO. It will never be football, nor should we expect it to be.

I don't think any one person, great or otherwise, is going to bring this game back. It's going to be a collective effort on everyone's part, the owners and players alike, to make it work. I'm looking forward to it.

i just don't understand all the childish fighting, maybe because i'm getting older, but it sure is a waste of time.

It's going to take a while for hockey to come back, if it does. I love hockey and played it through high school and for fun in college. The lockout made me lose interest in watching the sport professionally. I will still occasionally watch a game, but not nearly to the extent I did before the lockout. It's a shame players couldn't have just played for a little less money, greedy *******...

All hail the Toronto Maple Leafs!

The Stanley Cup playoffs comes with some of the most exicting and thrilling sports action in all of sports. The Stanley Cup has always made the beginning of my summer/end of school. I was definitely disappointed I didn't get my fix this past year.
