That's just brutal. We know you to be mature, so stay true and handle it that way. Just know what outcome you want from the Old Man if you ever see him again. An apology, money, new smokes, a steak dinner? Whatever it is be honest and candid about it. No need for the games. Is this about teaching him a lesson, or achieving your due respect? You might want to have a non-confrontational talk with your roomie about your space, too. There is a great book that deals with this called Crucial Conversations. Major life tools for interpersonal communication and dealing with problems as such. Good luck, bro.
 
I used to steal cigars all the time. Had quite a collection.

Not sure why an eight year old thought tiparillos and tijuana smalls were tasty sticks. :)
 
Man, that is some f'n nerve; and that guy is some f'n prick. You better keep an eye out on his kid. I have an idea for the old man. Take a sandwich baggie full of the worst p.o.s. cigars you can find. Step on the bag a couple times. Using a permanent black marker, write on the bag, "For blank's Father." Leave that on your roommate's dresser. Lock your humi, and again, keep an eye on the kid. That guy represents 50% of his upbringing and the other 50% made the decision to sleep with him.
 
Yaknow, I'd booby-trap the humi, I wouldn't be 'playing nice' like some of these suggestions..

Unless you realize that your friend's dad smoked a rare or super expensive cigar, then I would probably let it slide. Also I'd tell my room mate to make sure he called me up and asked next time he wanted to dip into my humidor. There's nothing rude about being polite and making him ask. Take the high road. Also, you could pick up a few lower end, CHEAP smokes, put them in a bag with a humidity pouch and leave them on your humidor with his name and "Enjoy" written on it.

For all you know, his dad might be giving you a box for graduation. ;)
 
Sounds to me like he thought since you offered one stick it was open house. Pretty shitty if you ask me. Like you said, if he asked each time, you would have been happy to share. Some people are just not raised with manners and consideration.

Take the high road for sure. Your time there is short and you attend a school that is BIG on connections. Ask the roomie to find out which stick hid Dad liked best as you were thinking of picking him up a few sticks because the end of the semester is near and you enjoy meeting other cigar aficioanados. Here's the risk, he tells you the Opus wa great you buy some Fuentes you can afford, gift them, and the old man is a scumbag OR the guy says he liked the Acids, you buy the guy a couple of Kuba Kuba, the old man shows up with a box of Opus the next week & lets you know the inside scoop on an internship at his prestigious Law Firm & asks you to stop by the office next week to go over your nerw position. HEY - It could happen. Either way, YOU are the bigger MAN!
 
Too bad you couldn't inject one of them w/ that stuff they used on Dumb and Dumber. That would be funny as hell.
 
Be direct with the roommate and the dad! Stealing is bullshit, putting up with it is even more so. Get his phone number from his son, call him. Tell him that you can't believe that a grown man would steal cigars from his sons roommate. Tell him that you want your cigars replaced! Tell the roommate that if another cigar comes up missing that you are going to turn him in to campus security! Don't put up with this crap!
