I consider myself a big movie fan and also a very picky moviegoer who rarely sees movies anymore that I consider to be anything more than CGI filled, poorly written crap.
I saw "Whiplash" for the first time this weekend and was stunned by how incredibly well written and shot this 1:06 minute movie was.
If you have yet to see it do yourself a favor and watch it. Crank it on your home theater and enjoy the amazing cinematography and editing.
I don't think I blinked the last 15 minutes and the ending is quite possibly one of the best endings of recent times.
