Which Offerman Edition was it. I've really liked all the ones I've had. 45 is a steal!Yeah I’m out on the Woodford and I’m a fan of some of their more reasonably priced stuff. Very rarely spend much more than a hundred on a bottle. As an example of my thrifty bottle shopping I’ve been waiting years to try the Nick Offerman Lagavulin because the srp is ridiculous. Just finally snagged a bottle on a half price sale for $45.

Yeah my local has what they call a penny sale twice annually. It’s half price and mostly wine but a few whisky’s as well. They do have some nice sales. I get Lagavulin 16 for $79 and Wild Turkey Rare Breed for $45 - two of my favorites.
Didn’t know there were more than one Offerman as I’ve only ever seen this one -

These are from the last three years. Our palates are similar.

I belong to 2 whiskey clubs here in St. Louis. They feature both bourbons and scotches, primarily focusing on bourbon, rye, and single malts with a splash of scotch. My preference would be scotch and ryes with a splash of bourbon. The first couple years (2021-2023) I was buying scotch and bourbons, I bought over 100 bottles. This year I'm down to 4 so far (and 2 of those were Tequila). Wish I could say the same about my cigar purchasing!!!!! My favorite scotch is probably the Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength. Honestly, I don't like the Laphroaig 10 much, but the cask strength is heaven. Islay and Campbeltown tend to be my favorites, but enjoy the other regions as well. These are my favorites at this time. I'm sure there are several that I've missed, but you get the point.Nice! You know I bet I just saw Nick and the 11 year age and didn’t think to look closer. Now I gotta find the other 2! Since our palates are similar I’m curious what other Scotch you love? I’m loving bourbon more as I try many different offerings but Scotch is my first love and still my favorite. Wish there were more cask strength bottles but looks like more are coming out.

I have a bottle of that Yellowstone Single Barrel. I like it.My local just got a bunch of new bourbons that won’t last long. Other than the Bookers I have not tried any of these. Any ones you like here?

Funny thing is, my scotch list is really a lot longer and Glenfarclas is on it. I haven't had much of Talisker to know. Also check out some YouTube channels about HP batches. One of my many favorite channels is Curiousity Public. Thanks for the list. Many of my favorites shows we do indeed have similar palates. A couple of my staples you didn’t list would be Glenfarclas & Talisker. The only CS Scotch my local has is the Highland Park so with your endorsement I’ll have to grab one of those. Gonna have to find that Sagamore Rye too!
