The other day, I was cruizin the channels..ran into Fonzie water skiing and jumping over the shark. :p

My brother had told me about a website Jump the Shark sometime back, but I never investigated... (choose A-Z to find your show)

I just spent longer than I should have going through some old favorites of mine jogging the memory for when the show went irreversibly downhill from what point.

What were some of your favorites, and when did it "Jump the Shark"?

One of my all-time favorites was Cheers. I think it jumped the shark when they started focusing episodes mainly on Lillith and Frasier. Just wasnt as good then.

Mr. Ed. Jumped the shark when "Ed " played golf. What? You never heard of a talking horse?

Sorry my quadrapedic friend. Realized that "jumping the shark" pertains to a particular incident (sp) or show.

Baaa-a-a-a-a.

What comes to mind now are a couple of my favorite HBO series:

Sopranos jumped after season 3.

Six Feet Under after season 2.

The Brady Bunch serverly jumped the shark when cousin Oliver came to visit.
If that wasn't bad enough, how about the trip to Hawaii?

Dave :p

Let's jog some memories...

Mork & Mindy...I knew Robin Williams was a genious cause I knew early in the show at least 33% of the time, he was ad-libbing and the cast could not keep up with him, much less, keep from laughing their a.o. But, none-the-less, the show jumped the shark with the birth of Mearth.

Moonlighting...when Maddie and David (Cybil Shepphard/Bruce Willis) got it on...half the show was based on the sexual tension between the 2... Now it's gone and nowhere to go but downhill.

One of my favorites even if Ken Wahl wasn't much of an actor... Wiseguy... the minute Sonny Steelgrave was gone.. even Mel Profit (Kevin Spacey) and his GORGEOUS sister (Joan Severance  ) couldn't save it.

Oh yeah Mark, I loved that show Wiseguy. I enjoyed the writing and agree with you that it just about bit the dust when Steelgrave left :(

Thanks too for the great link to the site, it's a lot of fun to look up my favorite shows and I generally agree with their polls about when my show "Jumped the Shark" ;)

Or...

How about the shows you think NEVER did jump the shark.

Or...

Which ones did it on episode #1? ie...never worth a mention... ie...Americas Funniest Videos.
