So what's everyone planning on enjoying New Year's eve, at the stroke of Midnight, and/or during the following day? I suppose for me this qualifies as a cigar that's not my everyday smoke, but it's not a super special occasion either. Perhaps something out of the Opus X stash, or a Hemingway Maduro, or maybe a RASS or Mag 46 or something else from the south. I guess I didn't really think this out fully before I posted.

So what's it going to be for you?

I don't know yet, but I have my eyes on:

Padron 1926 Series #35 Maduro
Padron 1926 Series #6 Maduro
Arturo Fuente Anejo #55 Maduro
Arturo Fuente 858 Maduro

Great question!

I have my eyes on an aged Partagas Serie P No. 2.

My last Monte #2 that's been resting in the humi peacefully since last year.

Mine will be a Monte A. Will start it around 9:30 and should be done around midnight !

Happy New Years.

I've been saving an untold story and a bottle of Hennessy Cognac for New Years Eve. This will be my first for that cigar. Two weeks ago I was over the Des Moines direction so my friend and fellow CP brother Jerry (tangomar) and I had a btl and a few glasses of Hennessy. That was really cool until I tried to stand up. I probably ought to stick with beer :)

I think I am going to have a Cohiba Siglo VI with a glass of Sheridan's. :)

None.

I'll either be in one of two clubs in Massachusetts or Connecticut watching one of my favorites bands (smoking is NOT allowed in clubs in Connecticut and Massachusetts) or I'll be at a house party where the hosts won't let people smoke in the house.

Nothing too fancy since it has to cut through all the food and booze. A hemi classic maduro is most likely it.

Davidoff 1986 Dom Peringon, it's my 50th birthday on New Years Eve. Thanks to Moki for making the cigar available during the Katrina auctions.

Now that is bringing in the new year in STYLE!

I'm just trying to figure out what to drink with it to compliment it!

Never had one so I can't begin to guess what would go with it. I'd start with a good champagne and move up in strength from there.

Davidoff 1986 Dom Peringon...i would do it with a bottle of dom perignon...it just makes soooo much sense.

derrek :)

Frexinet Cordon Negro Extra Dry sparkling wine! I think this is one of the best sparking wines out there

OR if you want an expensive, classy champagne then I would recommend Perrier Jouet like a 1998 or so. I like this far more than Dom Perignon. The Perrier Jouet costs about the same as the Dom Perignon but again, I still prefer the Frexinet for a fraction of the cost. ;)

derrek has far more class than I do  so if you're up for doing it up BIG, go with his plan! :D

With all the alcohol and food it will probably be something simple like a VSG or a PAM, then on the 1st it will be something like a La Gloria Limitada 2004.

Fellas thanks for the suggestions! I think that champagne is in order so thanks again.
