A unicorn find for sure! 1960's H. Uphman Double Coronas. You will not find these on BR or most European auction sites due to how rare this particular vitola is. Do a search, and you will find out exactly how rare. As soon as I saw this intact box was up for grabsView attachment 94284View attachment 94285View attachment 94286View attachment 94287, I didn't hesitate! 😎

So these should technically be legal in the US as they are pre embargo right? I classify this as a woody buy. I mean you put these next to the bed and it won't matter how fugly she is... it's up and on.

I don't understand why this is so great. The box is damaged and the paper inside is torn.. They are way beyond their expiration date. Some jackass wrote with marker on the bottom. Even the bands are blan and thoughtless.

I don’t even see them listed on cubancigarwebsite. Amazing.

No. These are from the 60's and not pre-embargo The embargo started in 1958.

Alexander from Cubancigarwebsite did find me a few examples from old catalogs. The bands were different for the box version. One of the examples he and I did manage to find that had those same bands came from a glass jar production version 1950's.

Interesting. Why hasn’t Alexander added them to his disco list under H. Upmann?

I'm disappointed they just sell the Blood moons now rather than having to get one from an event.
Yeah me too. The Coronetas outshined them for me anyway - had a subtle spice that kind of crept into the background that made it much more interesting and gave it more character to me.
