What's Your Latest Purchase? 2016

Smallbatch had a few five packs of Neanderthal HoxD petite coronas up for sale, and I could not get my credit card out quickly enough. I've been hoping they'd show up on their own vs. having to purchase the variety boxes of 10 that only have 2 of the Neanderthals.

Hell yeah, I love crystallized ginger. Almost like my wasabi addiction.
 
My local got a box of Opus X Love Affair about 3 weeks ago. They don't limit purchase amounts (except when they get Anejos) but prefer someone to not buy ALL of a cigar in one fell swoop, as they want others to at least have a shot at getting some. So, once a week I would go in an grab a few. 1st time I got 4, waited a week and went and bought 5. Waited another week and went in Saturday and they had 8 left. I figured I had waited long enough and just took the box to the counter, paid for my purchase and left. Smoked my first one last night and I am glad I stocked up. I REALLY liked the one I smoked.
 
They definitely improved after a year vs. fresh, but if forced to make a semi-educated guess I'd say 5 years on the Sobresalientes would dial them in flavorwise.

I probably will smoke most of them after the 5 year mark, but will definitely try one now and after a year for comparison.
 
I picked up an Avo Domaine 50, which is the first Cigar I ever smoked, just to see how different my palate is after all of these years.

Should be interesting, and hopefully it isn't disappointing. :cool:

So, how was/is it??
 
Picked up two boxes of Oliva Series V at a recent charity cigar dinner and they included 8 free cigars of other Oliva releases with each box. I like the Series V, but the free ones, well I guess they are worth what I paid for them.
