Cooked my first brisket on the BGE today and it turned out outstanding. Smoked it for five hours, then wrapped it in unbleached butcher paper to smoke it for another five. Then took it off and immediately stuck it inside a cooler for two hours to stabilize. Came out so tender and juicy!

This looks great! Make a couple of sandwiches! My favorite to make with leftover brisket is a Philly cheesesteak with nothing but cheese on a hero bread.
Well a little horseradish wouldn't hurt. Thanks for the suggestion! Based on that we are having them for dinner tonight..... Gonna have to be nice to the wife though. I liked your idea with just plain and simple, but she started spouting off cheese, horseradish, arugula, tomatoes, mushrooms, and something about cranberries, or cranberry sauce.
Shut me up when I started to protest. So, I’m gonna play it smart and roll with it.....
Actually, how do you have a Philly without onions?Well a little horseradish wouldn't hurt.
Well a little horseradish wouldn't hurt.
It actually turned out! The sweet, savory, smokiness, and horseradish flavors all somehow managed to pull together surprisingly well Anthony....
I wouldn't call it a Philly, but it worked!
We are having the simple version tonight. Only thing I want to add besides cheese is sautéed shrooms.Pics or it never happened. Should've done two versions, that's what I usually do when my wife wants something different than me and then we just share.
Soft shell crab sandwiches, jalapeño poppers, and oysters on the half shell..
Our house!Man, that looks great! Where was this?
