Getting there. I'm really hearing almost a spoken vocal ala Lenard Cohen or end of career Johnny Cash. I think that would be a great juxtaposition with the background you have.
 
@AVB I have been meaning to pick your brain on the following song. I have listened to this track for years and every time I do, when it gets to around 2:14 mark, I think to myself, that it reminds me of some other song. I have not been able to figure it out. Any guesses?

I can't come up with an exact song but the harmonies are pure CSN IMO. Definitely hearing a Graham Nash vibe.
