What music are you listening to currently?

Merry Clayton is an American soul and gospel singer and an actress. She provided a number of back-up vocal tracks for major performing artists in the 1960s, most notably in her duet with Mick Jagger on the Rolling Stones song "Gimme Shelter."Wikipedia
Bah, dammit. I was gonna guess that. I looked it up a long time ago but forgot her name. I'm not much of a Stones fan but Gimme Shelter is a song a could listen to all day.

Woodstock!

This is supposed to be what performers were paid at Woodstock

Eric Clapton: I Still DO
45 rpm is generally a pain in the ass in my opinion, but in this case it's worth the added aggravation of getting up too damn often.

Doc

I'm getting the impression you are not aware that they make 45rpm lps, or perhaps you're too young to know what an lp is.

Doc

In my world, which began in 1975, 45rpm records have the big hole requiring the adapter. The full size 33rpm records had the small hole.

While I've seen 78rpm selections on a turntable, I've never seen the vinyl for it.

I'm so sorry that you live in a very, very small world.

Doc

When I was about 11 yrs old, I found a slew of 78s. I have no idea what recordings were represented. At that age, they made a hell of a frisbee. What I do remember is that they had metal cores; so a metal disc under the vinyl. My big brother pissed me off picking on me once, and I did my damndest odd-job impression. Threw 2 at him at once, and as they approached him, they split and went on either side of him. I'll never forget the look on his face.
