Tito’s gimlet at the local watering hole/sports bar.

Bombay Dry gin-Dolin Dry vermouth martini. Technically a “Gibson”, with a cocktail onion instead of an olive.

Im a martini guy myself. White label bombay and martini and rossi vermouth. 6/1 ratio stirred vigorously not shaken in a frozen glass w an olive. I may have to try that Dolin. No one carry's Stock vermouth anymore. Noilly Pratt was the tier 1 vermouth but they went down the tubes 15+ years ago when they changed the recipe and gave it a color for the European market. I think they drink it straight on the rocks. I may have the last bottle of the good stuff left on the planet on my bar shelf. I have a small Noilly Pratt bottle I refill with the cheap stuff.

When I want to up it a notch I go with Plymouth Gin, the top of the line gin for martinis IMHO. FYI New Amsterdam gin is a pretty close match to Hendricks if thats your taste but its quite a bit cheaper. Both are a little too flowery for my taste in a tini.

Martini gin should be of the lower octane variety and not have a load of juniper. That gin is for your gin and tonics which Ive been known to knock down from time to time also.

Nice! Another gun guy! Yeah I like the Bombay Dry or Beefeater, I’m not a fan of the blue sapphire stuff. You and I like the same recipe, 6-1 stirred not shaken. Frozen glass, olive or onion depending on my mood.

I’ll look for Plymouth gin I always grab the Beefeater or Bombay Dry. If you like it, I’ll give it a whirl.

What separates Plymouth from the others is the soft water they proof it with there in Plymouth...yeah where the Mayflower took off from.

Its not cheap. A fifth is the price of a half gal of Bombay in my zipcode, there abouts.
