What is your favorite activity to do while smoking

My favorite thing to do while smoking a cigar is...talking.

Couple of things about this thread:

1. That Santa's helper on Matt R's signature. I have to know who she is, and I have to have her!! :love:

Hopefully my wife won't mind. Let me think now, hmmm........two's company, but three's a blast!! :D :D

2. Some poker talk I'm hearing here! Good stuff. Unfortunately, almost all casino poker rooms ban cigar smoking :( , and many of them, even in Vegas, are beginning to ban cigarettes also.

3. Nevertheless, it would be great to meet some of the poker players here at any of the casinos that have poker rooms, and then go have a herf after playing some cash games.

4A, have you ever played at the Palms? They have a nice poker room especially if you like low limit since they usually have a 2-4 or 4-8 game going.

As far as cigar smoking at the tables the Palms has banned them :( :angry: That is my one quibble especially since cigarette smoking is allowed. WTF?!

I play a lot in Wendover and one of the casinos allows no smoking at all in the poker room. The casino I play at allows it including cigars. Unfortunately I almost always catch crap because most of the chain smoking dealers hate cigars. It seems we just can't win. This particular casino even has a cigar bar!!!

Give me my cigars or give me death! :p :D

I have not been to the Palms. I have heard mixed reviews about it, but am glad you found it a postive experience. I will try it out on the next trip.

Lowest limit at Bellagio is $4-8. For the $2-4 I go to Binon's. Though they are both considered at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of snob appeal, I found them both to be good places. I have had good feedback about the Sahara too.

Yup, they are closing in on any type of smoking in poker rooms. Nice thing is, that at least in Vegas there is always a friendly cigar bar around for afterwards, to either celebrate winnings, or ease the pain of losses. ;)

But yes, "talking" is my favorite endeavor while smoking. Also "girlwatching". :D

The smoke shop where I herf at has these dark tinted windows. You can see out, but they can't see in. It's in a strip shopping center. So when a good looking female thing is walking in the parking lot, man we just drool and say all kinds of "comments". Men are such pigs. Ain't it great to be a guy? :D

I had a boss that got married and he would still comment on chicks that came in the gas station. I brought it up once and he said, yeah, but I'm not BLIND!
 
I like to smoke when i go out at night with the wife or friends.
Lay back on a chair with any Punch and a nice port or brandy.
 
I started smoking cigars at parties with friends. For years that was the only time I have one. Now though, I really seem to prefer to have one out on the patio, after dinner with a good book or magazine. That's gotta be one of the best way to relax.
 
If I am smoking in the morning it means I am out early on a long road trip. I'll smoke something light. A Monte Cab, Macanudo, or Jose Marti churchill with a strong cup of coffee.
In the afternoon I am in the garage or working outside, so it is usually a cheapie from Villazon. If I am not working, I am playing pool, or sitting in a sunbeak, so I go with the midline stuff. Fuentes, AVO, Torano, anything tastey and inexpensive.
At night I am outside in the Florida room. Usually I am talking to my wife, or playing scrabble with her(she usually kicks my ass). Plus it is late evening, after dinner. Usually something substantial. Monte #2's, Partagas, Boli's. Domestic will be Brazilia, Opus, VSG, Chisel Heads, you know, substantial.
My new favorite activity is Herf's. Usually I will smoke a collectors cigar, or something new I have never tried.

1-Screened in back deck during a lightning storm
2-Under the stars with friends solving the worlds problems
3-While in the chat room at noon hour talking to friends who are at work and can't smoke :D
4. Doing stressful things like working on annual budget for employer
 
Watch TV in my living room (yes I smoke in the house)

Play on the laptop downstairs, as my computer room/office is upstairs between my kids bedrooms so I dont smoke that close to where my kids sleep.

Sit in a cigar shop and talk with the other customers

Look at porn - no wait, I do that when I'm no smoking too! :D

Of course, drink a rum and diet coke, talk with other cigar enthusiasts or friends..
 
Watch tv... or anything that doesnt take a lot of concentration. I like to focus on the cigar since I'm still developing a taste for the different flavor profiles.

I tried playing a vid game once... that was a terrible idea. I tried reading and posting in the forums... bad idea too. So I've just resorted to idling in front of the tube. Did you know there's a lot of sh!t on tv now?! LOL. :D
 
I have smoked while playing Golf (though I don't play often anymore :lookup: )

That seemed distracting, and I found I needed to put the Cigar down alot (since I'm a terrible golfer @ 110+ however I did shoot a 99 ONCE! :D)
 
I prefer to freeze my ass off standing in my garage, observing what is going on around my area of town. I usually do this unless it dips below a cool 10 degrees or less. The real question should be--how many cigars do each of us smoke a week! I'm averaging about six.

I enjoy sitting on my balcony with a glass of brandy. Sometimes I smoke with friends but most of the time I like it to be a solitary and reflective time.
 
I've finally talked the wife into moving the kids downstairs and turning the bedrooms upstairs into his and her 'offices' (hers has already become a junk room and mine will finally be the oak planked-dark painted-exaust fan vented smoking room I've been dreaming of). My office is now in the works, so until then...........

I take a low to the ground beach chair out into the front yard, toss a log or two into the fire ring and just stare at the stars and veg (this is usually sometime after the klids have gone to bed). I live in SoCal so I can usually do it in shorts and a t-shirt. I live just outside the city and have a view. There is nothing like being able to look at the lights, the stars, and even the neighbors cows, enjoy the SoCal night weather, and lazily puff (usually a La Gloria Cubana Wavell).

When I'm out with the wife I take 2 extras (my wife likes the Earth Nectar Petite Coronas by CAO) and we usually run into another couple we know. Or when I'm out with the boys, I take the trusty 3 finger and we usually make two new acquaintances. Usually turning into a future situation where my wife and I get to smoke with friends.

I think no matter the situation, a good smoke usually makes it that much better.

Oh YEAH!! I do love those late nights breaking down game film with a bundled smoke too.
 
Sitting in the Hot Tub looking up a the stars with a nice port.

Walking the wide green fairways of any golf course.

Wading in hip high frigid waters stocking any wild fish.

Letting life go by on the smokihg porch in my cigar chair with a good book and piped in overhead jazz.

Poker with the neighborhood buds.

Ahhh isn't life just grand ;)
