What is an "Online Humidor" and how many of you have one?

This is a bad thread, and one that I should not have read.

1. Buy boxes without wifey knowing
2. Store them away from the house so she doesn't see them.
3. Call for a box to be shipped to you when she's out of town for work.
4. Pretend like you don't know what she's talking about when she questions "new box."

Hmmmm........

And as long as you wait long enough the box codes will validate the fact that you bought the cigars years ago.

Until she starts noticing an accumulation of empty shipping boxes and packing peanuts in a corner of the garage and wants to know where the hell they all came from!

Just a further note, I just finally investigated this idea with a vendor that offers the service and they are currently pulling and packing away 7 boxes that I just purchased. Nice.

And the biggest reason I'm using this service is because I absolutely have no more room in my cabinet, and if I started up another coolerdor my wife would have my head. None of these smokes will be smokable for at least a year or two anyhow so there's no reason for me have them taking up space at home, as well as them being shipped during summer months. This could get dangerous, since I think I'm going to make it a habit to buy a box per month to put away at their facility.

edited to add a couple other thoughts:

The boxes will be photographed and box codes recorded for me even though I trust them not to pull anything.

But you have to wonder, what happens if I've spent thousands of dollars on cigars to go into their facility and a couple years from now they go out of business? They of course are insured and have protocols in place for disasters/fire/theft, but what about them simply going out of business or declaring bankruptcy?

Thank you for the update Andrew, what a strange concept, but good in the aspect that it will keep your wife from reclaiming your balls!

Is this a domestic company that provides this service, or the latter? It appears through posts on this thread that most domestic cigar businesses here in the mainland don't provide this caliber of service. Thanks for the update Gonz!
