What do you like drinking with your favorite cigar?

What do you like to drink while smoking? Especially if you're at a public place where no alcohol can be served. I am 20, I just want to know what you would drink, I personally drink water. What do you recommend?
 
Black Cherry Soda with a Maduro

Rootbeer with a Cameroon

Coffee with a Natural

Hot/Iced Tea with a Sungrown
 
I'll usually have a PAM Principe or '26 #35 maddie with coffee if I decide to smoke in the morning. To me, that's a great pairing. With other cigars I'll drink a good Stout or Porter.
 
Jonesy, what Porters do you recommend? Fuller's London Porter has become my favorite beer over the years but it is hard to come by.
 
as far as non alcoholic beverages go. I nice cup of black coffee or a iced coke are tough to beat.

as for alcoholic beverages any good liquor or beer works fine. I prefer a nice scotch, cognac or tequila. but I am easy with booze and like everything. Typically I would take a nice highland s/m over all others but right now I am on a bit of a cognac kick with my sticks.

Tastes and cravings change don't be a fraid to mix an d match and find what works / accentuates your own flavor profile.

Right now as odd as it sounds I have been on a binge of Highland Park 18 and fresh baked choc chip cookies. Weird pairing I know, and no I am not pregnant as far as I know, but for me this accentuates the flavors in the scotch and works wonderfully for my palate.

Any other scotch and cookie guys out there? :whistling:
 
I'd second the root beer/Cameroon combo. I really like Goose Island's root beer.
Coffee always works for me as well.
 
Port tawny (Sandeman) with dark, heavy smokes

Macallan 18 with medium smokes

Cao Ila 12 with older milds

Uh...and....I'm a Dr. Pepper freak for non-alchohol. Just the way it is.



Oh, and this has nothing to do with drinking, but thought I'd throw it in here. If you have kids turn up the volume, my little girl loves THIS.

Be carefull there is something aboug the melted chocolate and the undertones of the scotch that really pairs well. Once you try it you will be hooked. :D
 
I usually smoke maduro cigars. These pair very well with Café Cubano. I also think any of the whiskeys (Scotch, Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, etc) do very well with cigars. I do not like aperitifs or grape based alcoholic drinks with cigars (wine, champagne, etc). I do not think these pair well and both suffer but I know quite a few people like their port or cognac with a good cigar; I do not.
 
Water, black/green tea, raspberry iced tea or pepsi. Not to often im in somewhere i cant have wine or a drink though.
