Oh well, so much for my Jeep. :(

While moving, I was driving a truck with trailer as wife followed in my Jeep. Unfortunately, she did not tell me it was overheating until she called me and the following is the narrative:

ring ring (cell phone)
Brat: Yeah?
Bratkeeper: We better stop for gas soon.
Brat: As soon as I find a Mobil.
Bratkeeper: Well, the Jeep is getting hot.
Brat: How hot?
Bratkeeper: The needle thingy is at the top of the red, as far as it will go I think, and it is trying to die.
Brat: Oh S**t, dangit all to heck (or something like that)

so we pull into the the Shamrock at the intersection where this conversation took place.
Long story short (or at least not as long as it could be), the inside of the cooling system smelled like a house fire, and the engine is left with maybe 1/4 the compression it should have and it barely starts.

Fried like a Sunday mornin' egg :(

So if yall have a mind too, say a little prayer for ole PB, maybe it will help me find another vehicle ???

O.K. This is bizarre. I'm reading this thread and then my phone rings and it's the wife:

wife: "you're not going to believe this..."
me: "what?"
wife: "someone hit my car this morning in the parking lot at Bootcamp."
me: "you o.k.?"
wife: "yeah, it was parked."
me: "suppose that must be a record...you had it for just over 24 hours."

So my wife drives a wounded 2007 BMW 335i :(
I drive a 2006 Lexus RX400h

Wow...I remember this thread. I still have the 2004 Chevy p/u.

Got rid of both of the other cars though.

Now, I drive a 2006 Bentley Continental GT Coupe.
Wife drives a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

My daily ridde from 1995 up until last year was my '66 Mustang GT fastback. It currently has just under 190,000 miles. Before that, it was a string of half a dozen other 65/66 Mustangs. I semi-retired it because my back couldn't handle the twists of putting 2 small children into their car seats back in that non-existent rear seat! I boughht a well-preserved '96 Ford Explorer to better handle child-shuttling. It's coming up on the 100,000 mile mark very quickly.

2006 Nissan Titan 4dr 2wd, wife drives a 2006 Nissan Armada, both are 'company' vehicles, can write the full amount of the Titan off 2006 taxes, and 32k of the Armada on 2006 taxes, so that's why i went new...

Me: 2005 Ford 150 STX 4x4
