I picked this up in January. It's a 1994 Oldsmobile 98. They stopped making these in 1996 so this is the last of its kind. Buick continued to make the Park Avenue up until 2005. The Buick Park Avenue and the Olds 98 shared the General Motors "C" body for quite some time. In 1985, these became front wheel drive cars and they underwent a complete change in 1991 to the body style seen here. When Oldsmobile dropped the 98 in 1996, Buick continued to make the Park Avenue on a new platform in 1997. I have to admit, the Park Avenues are probably better looking cars but the 98s from 1991 to 1996 are much more rare than the Park Avenues so you don't see too many of these on the road anymore.
This car was a one owner with only 88,000 miles on it and I picked it up for a very nice price. My father had a 1941 Olds 98 when he was a kid. 1941 was the first year of the Oldsmobile 98. They had 96s before that (with the "6" signifying 6 cylinders) and the 98 was new for 1941 with a new straight 8 cylinder engine. My father sold it while he was serving in WWII. It was one of the nicest cars he ever had.
