Worked in the yard for 4-5 hours and decided to reward myself with a good cigar. I selected a Gurkha Grand Master that was part of a bomb sent by Shooter. It was a damn fine smoke!!

Started out the day at Churchill with a HDM Epicure #2

Midday had a SLR Serie A

Watched Barbaro win with a Padron 40th in hand!!! HAd a rough day at the betting window until Barbaro filled my pockets..

-D

Started the day with a Torano Signature, not bad but nothing to write home about. But for $3.00 a pop I'll live with it.

Early afternoon Tatujae Lancero. Not bad but nowhere near as tasty as the Regios.

Early evening watched the "Derby" with a Ashton VSG. Pretty nice smoke! Smooth and slightly sweet for the most part and in the final 3rd a little bit of spice makes an appearance. I think a box of these will look nice in the coolerdor!

Killed a slow Sunday with a Padron 2000. Lovely, and quickly becoming my favorite stick.

had a monte platinum while reading the morning papers; had a monte #2 while smoking some ribs :D

I sat on the patio and enjoyed a RyJ Reserva Real Robusto -- I have found that I like all the RyJ cigars tried so far.

With my morning coffee La Flor de Murias
After dinner CAO Italia

'03 Cohiba Sig III with some rib tips, Maresdous Belgian Ale and Dalmore 12 yr old single malt... Very nice!!!

smoking the free Zino Platinum Grand Master that we cheapos all got around Christmas '05.

It's a pretty mild cigar...good, light, and mellow tobacco flavors.

Unfortunately, I dropped it on the floor outside...the 5 second rule applies, right?
I picked it up, wiped off the head, and tried it to see if it was okay.
It was...except for the slight sandy/grittiness it left in my mouth.

Don't see why these cigars are pricey?

Had my last Padron Fumas while working on the car. Sounds like it may have been my last Fumas ever :(

Just danced with a Gurkha Doble Maduro. Had a few wrapper issues, but it was a very nice smoke. Not quite as good as the Expedition IMO, but it's two different smokes.

I'd take another though.

Just finishing off a La Aurora Series 1495 Churchill. Very impressed though it took about an inch and a half to open up. Much better than the Preferdios Robusto that CA gave a 93, but with a similar taste profile.

Punch Elite, H. Upman vintage camaroon, Don Carlos #4 (thank you Ian) and for tonites baseball spectacular, Beckett vs Johnson, an Ashton VSG Illusion.

Doc.

in celebration of my scoring a box of 1926 #35 maduro from Al, I lit up one of my three remaining # 35 natural. I was in the zone! :) I am so looking forward to tasting the maduro :)

PS Al is an a-one guy to deal with not to mention that he sometimes goes crazy with his offers
